Just walk where ever you like less then 5 min Railway Station and City Centre

Was able to book 2 rooms on a promotional rate @ GB19 each, which just happened to fall on the night we wanted. What better value could you ask for!? Both rooms were to Premier Inn specifications, good condition, no frills but certainly no disappointment with the beds, bathrooms or fixtures.
Service and assistance from the staff was excellent. A false alarm fire drill sent people scurrying from their rooms about 10pm but this was quickly sorted with good humor by all. Ample parking is available and the nearby park and ride service is a stressfree way to travel into the town without having to face traffic or find places to park. Late checkout/minding luggage was no problem for the helpful reception staff.
One disappointment would have to be the Beefeater restaurant. Service was very ordinary, food was just adequate and there were not even roast dinners available on their advertised 'Sunday Roast' promotion. There were few diners and it wasn't late, I suspect the cook hadn't turned up for the shift!

Booked an overnight stay for a short break in York and was absolutely delighted with both the service and facilities. We'd opted for the outskirts of York as we thought it would be quieter than the city centre hotels and knew the park and ride was close at hand for 'hassle-free' transport into York centre. This indeed proved to be the case. In short, we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room, service and food at the Beefeater were all excellent value for money. Could not have asked for more and already planning a return trip.

We stayed here for two nights between Christmas and New Year and absolutely loved it. It was our fourth stay. Was a little apprehensive before going as from some of the comments it seemed to have gone "downhill" but nothing could be further from the truth. Reception staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. The room located overlooking the car park was clean, comfortable and warm, just as we like it. The bed was extremely comfortable with Fogarty pillows (lovely). We travelled into York on both days via the nearby Park and Ride, walking over the bridge, which took approximately 10-15 mins. Didn't need to use the car once. We ate, on our second night, in the Beefeater and found the food excellent. Quick, friendly service, food piping hot and very enjoyable. Do not be put off from coming here from some bad reviews. This is our fourth stay here and would highly recommend it. The only downside was the TV in the room, in that it was not flat screen, but who comes to York to watch the telly!
