My husband and I spent 3 nights at Abbeyfields 2 weeks ago and enjoyed it very much. It is a short walk into York's city centre, through the beautiful Museum Gardens containing the ruins of St. Mary's Abbey. Les and Al were wonderful, friendly hosts, sharing their knowledge of the city
with us. There is also an extensive booklet in each room outlining information pertaining to local places of interest. Photographs of the city add extra charm to the rooms as well as the breakfast area. The breakfast is second to none. We have stayed in many B&Bs on our travels, but this is by far our favorite. We hope to return and would definitely recommend it to anyone fortunate enough to visit York.
