Booked a last minute weekend away with my family. The location was perfect, didn't need the car for the time we were in York. We were greeted by Ken and shown to our room, which was very clean, and quiet. He gave us local information and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was great, there was a great selection, and a seperate kids menu as well. Would definitely recommed staying here to anyone. Brilliant!

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Dairy Guest House on our recent trip to York. We'd only just arrived from overseas and found both the owner and the room great from the get go.
The owner was incredibly accommodating and helpful and the room whilst small was comfortable and had everything in it you needed. The room was made up each day and there was a selection for breakfast, but they allowed for special requests (ours being only 1 serve of the hot breakfast with extra toast to share the hot food).
It was an excellent location for getting into York and seeing the sights and there was an excellent recommendation for a place to eat at night.

My wife and I stayed at the Dairy Guest House during a recent visit to York. We found the owner to be friendly and informative and he was more than happy to spend time recommending places to visit and where to eat.
The Guest House is in a great location only a short walk from the city walls and they city centre. We stayed in one of the rooms off the court yard and found it to be spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts were good and they set us up for the day.
Overall I found the Dairy Guest House to be good value for money and in a good location for a visit to York.

My husband and I stayed at this guest house for 2 nights - we found it very easily , I was initially concerned that it was on a main road but I have to say there was no problem at all , you could not here the traffic and we had the front bedroom.
The rooms were really clean , lots of free tea and coffee and complementry water.
The breakfast was very nice and plenty of it ! .
It was situated in a nice area with lovley bakeries and shops , only a short walk to the city centre.
I would certainly go again and take my children as well .
Looking at the earlier reviews I can only presume that the owners were different and it was a long time ago ?
There were no human hairs in our food !! or noises from the bedrooms upstairs.
