A very pleasant experience and well worth the money.we arrived on saturday afternoon and was greeted with a big friendly smile by one of marco and debbies daughters,we stayed in room 6 and had everything we needed,big room, big bed, big in comfort.Breakfast was delicious and as much as you could eat with a great selection of local fresh produce,parking was free and secure(off road) so overall we had a great time,Maybe a small fridge in the room would be the iceing on the cake.We will go back soon,Thanks marco and debbie

A fantastic B&B 10 mins walk from town but without the noise of a town. As a business guest I was extremely glad of the free wi-fi which had fast response times. Sofa in the room was great as meant I could work without having to sit-up in bed!
Breakfast was delicious and served promptly so I could get out for a days work without having to rush.
Car park (off street) where I was able to leave my car parked all day each day was a plus.
Debbie and Marco provide everything you could need and respond promptly to requests. I'll definitely stay here again when I next come to York.

This is a great place to stay 15 min walk to center or train station. We had a twin room on the top floor facing the front. The owners were great and the breakfast was very good. The beds were better than the last 3 b&bs I had just stayed in (not as Hard). The only problem I had was the internet. It worked on and off the owner tried to help fix the problem and what ever he did worked for the time being. But the next night had the same problem so I just went down to the lounge with my computer. They said it was because my room was on the top floor.

One other thing I wasn't to thrilled about was the fact it was hard at times to reach the owners/staff. They left a phone number to call to talk to them. But when your from the states that costs 1.50 a minute to call.

Great place and I would stay here again if I return to York

Bishops was extremely clean, nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly. The lady who checked is in and out was the same person who cleaned our room too and she seems to do a brilliant job, keeping it all running smoothly.

Our room was The Orchard Suite, I think 'suite' is maybes a bit grandiose for it but it was a lovely room with comfortable bed, sofa, iron & ironing board, hair-dryer, fan, well stocked tea tray and a decent shower room (no bath).

We didn't have breakfast but the breakfast room looked lovely and bright and I am sure it would've been up to the same standard as the rest of the B&B.

We paid £70 per night, room only. I have no problems with the price at all.

The walk into town is a brisk ten minutes, all on flat ground though and plenty of pubs en route :o)
