For £60 a night, I wans't expecting much but this hotel is friendly, clean, modern and comfortable. Great value for money, excellent location. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

Staff were very nice, let us leave our bags there after check out time,until it was time for our train.

Never been to York then this little gem will be right up your street,situated only minutes from the city centre which is accessible via the Museum gardens.We stayed via Laterooms.com and paid £80 for two night bed and breakfast.The rooms are very clean and tidy with everything you need,a king size bed,kettle,tv/dvd and a jacuzzi bath and a wall heater.Spent more time in York than the hotel but when we got in we just kicked back and relaxed.The breakfast was really nice if not a little small,will fill you till midmorning.Hotel does have room for about 4 cars at the rear,easy to find,on a first come basis and is £8 per day,so much cheaper than surrounding carparks.A definite positive recomendation and definite return when possible.

jorvik was a great place, clean tidy and well located. breakfast was great and staff very helpfull and friendly. the only negative was no central heating just convector heaters so not as warm in room as would have liked but will definitely come back to stay
