although we had booked for xmas shopping in december we were unable to go because the hotel had had a burst,but credit where credit is due Tony kept in touch and offered us this weekend - and we weren't disappointed.
From arrival all the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Room very clean,comfy and spacious - family room no.20 - and situated at back of hotel.
Breakfast excellent with many choices and even though hotel was very busy we didn't feel rushed.
Hotel location so close to city center with own car park - (hope snow has melted) - is a real bonus.
Once again many thanks to Tony & his staff and we hope to see you again.
DEFINITELY 10 / 10 AND ANYONE LOOKING FOR A HOTEL IN YORK LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THE MINSTER HOTEL.

One night stay in York with friends on an annual get together. Would highly recommend the Minster for lots of reasons. Very close to City centre, room very clean and warm (even though it was freezing and snowing), breakfast really nice and all staff friendly and efficient. Free parking is also a bonus. Hope to return and will definitely stay there again.

First time at this hotel but it won't be the last. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Even though our room was at the front of the hotel the road noise wasn't a problem. The staff were very polite and friendly.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Very helpful and friendly staff at this hotel. Rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean - the only complaint would be that the beds were rather small.

Only 5 minutes walk to the City walls and 10 minutes walk to York Minster. Also a small Sainsburys and plenty of pubs nearby.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend
