It was an ok place but would'nt stay again.
Clean and the breakfast was quite nice.
The room was dated and a bit smelly on arrival
Very small bath and inadequate shower
Bed was not comfortable
Very small TV
Convenient to city centre

Very comfortable stay. The rooms weren't exactly spacious, but it was cosy. The bar's nice and sociable, and the staff are helpful, if obviously overworked! I'd certainly stay there again if I visit York. It's really not far from the city centre.

We stayed here for 1 night on a weekend break. Its what you would expect for the star rating. A clean and comfortable room, decent breakfast, friendly staff and good value for money. Its very convenient for the City centre, with shops and bars within 5 minutes, and limited free on street parking right outside the hotel.

just returned from a i night stay with a friend, great location, 10 minuite walk into York or bus stop 1 minuite walk,
Staff great nothing to much bother, evening meal not a lot of choice but well cooked and tasty all for £13.50 pp.
rooms great with all the amenities that one could wish for, yes 2 star but I have been in 3 star hotel not as nice as this.WILL BE BACK
