this is a good place to stay if you vist york its handy for the city center walking distance 10mins under ground parking as parking it a problem in york a nice clean hotel all staff were helpful.

Stayed at the Park Inn on a number of occasions now, and on the whole has been a good experience.

The rooms are fairly basic but at the same time have everything you need, and the cleaning is of a good standard.

The location is superb being in the heart of York, so is perfect for nights out, shopping trips and general tourism.

The is good value and very nice, but if your visiting York don't have food in the hotel, go out an explore some of the amazing places to eat in Yorkshire's most historic city.

On the first two occasions I stayed I encountered the same problem, as did another guest the second time I visited. They had no record of the booking. Both times I'd used an online site to book, I was informed that one of the bookings was missing because the hotel had since changed name, so the online site hadn't been working correctly. I'd would suggest booking with them directly, however they did honour the online price which was slightly cheaper than the direct booking.

Next time I visit York, the Park Inn will certainly be on my list of places to consider staying.

This hotel is centrally located within walking distance of The Minster, National Railway Museam, shopping, Jorvik Viking Centre. We were disappointed when we arrived to discover that the car-park was full and struggled to find the alternative NCP car-park recommended by the hotel. After a drive around the ring-road we found our way back to the hotel just as a car came out of the car-park therefore releasing a space for us. I'm not sure how comfortable I would have felt leaving my car in a car-park so far away from the hotel - also the price in the NCP was £16 for 24 hours vs £12 overnight in the hotel.
Our room was clean and equipped with air-conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities and a fantastic shower. We were not fortunate enough to have a river view.
We ate in the hotel restaurant on Saturday night (as we were unable to find a restaurant in York that wasn't full) - the service was friendly and timely and the food was great (steak for me, burger for him).
I don't think this hotel can be beaten for location - close enough to walk to all attractions without be loud during the extremely busy weekend nights in York. It is only a short walk from the train station so, due to the parking situation, I would recommend visiting by train if that is an option for you.

Stayed in 433. This was a recently refurbished room with a view of the river. The room was immaculate. Everything appeared to be new and the room smelled of new carpet on entering. The bed was comfortable with crisp white bedding. The furniture was basic and a bit sparse but adequate although I don't know how it would wear with heavy use. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality but the restaurant was cold An enjoyable stay. Would Definately go again.
