Having stayed at this hotel before we decided to return. We stayed for the new year and what a great time we had.
All staff were friendly and efficient.
Room was clean and the bed was lovely and cosey, also the shower area was excellent.
Good choices for breakfast and also evening meal was good too.
Brilliant location,just nice for walks by the river.

We look forward to visiting again soon.

Stayed here when extending a recent business trip to York.

The room was a good size, with some good amenities including mini bar, safe, iron and ironing board. It also had a door leading to the entrance which is ingenious as helps block out some of those hotel noises on corridors.

Bathroom clean and with a separate loo. Downside was the bed. I think classed a queen it's not as big as a King and it wasn't that comfortable. Woke up with back ache both mornings.

It is relatively conveniently located close to city. if you're looking for something more quaint then maybe one of the B&Bs/hotels I walked past on Tadcaster road would be better. This is a more modern building but has everything you need there including restaurant, bar, pool..

This hotel was a last minute booking after deciding to stop over in York. Super hotel, staff friendly & helpful, Room was lovely, warm and clean, gorgeous big comfy bed (which we didnt want to get out of the next morning). Shower spacious (would of liked a non slip mat in there) We didnt eat at the hotel but I'm sure the food would of been tasty. Novotel is not too far a walk from the center of York and a pleasant walk and is'nt full of rowdy drinkers like some of the central hotels I had previously stayed at. I certainly will be using this hotel in the near future with friends & family.
