Having previously visited the lamb and lion for a drink we decided to treat ourselves to a night over. We had room 7 on the top floor, which was worth the many stairs to be away from the bustle of the bar! The bed was big and comfy with crisp sheets and plenty of space to hang up clothes in the wardrobe.
My only niggle was that the mirror was in a very silly place (behind the bathroom door/not near any plug points), so take a good size hand mirror to do your hair in!
The breakfast was really good. We had boiled egg and soldiers, which were perfectly dippy just as we asked.
The staff are really friendly and help add to the great atmosphere in the bar area.
