I stayed here in August 2011. It's in a handy location, only a 10-15 minute walk into town. The single room I stayed in was modern and clean. There is car parking space behind the house for guest use, which was one of the main reasons I chose to stay here, however space is somewhat limited. There were a few other issues which I was assured would be sorted out after my departure (related to wi-fi access and shower water temperature); judging by recent good reviews, these issues obviously aren't a problem anymore. They were the only drawbacks to what was otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed at the Hillcrest for 2 nights in the family room, with my Mum and friends for my hen do. The B+B was really lovely, the staff were very friendly and the place was clean and tidy.

Food at breakfast was decent and overall good value.

It's a bit far out of York, but a nice walk into the city.

We stayed at the guest house in an en-suite double room for 4 nights starting from 9th november, we enjoyed our stay , thank you to the owner of this guest house .

Stayed two nights in October.Had the attic room which was a good size and had everything we needed. Helpful host with good hints about what to do and see in York. They were very busy but managed to provide a great breakfast without us having to wait too long.
