“Fantastic service and quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

We recently stayed at Sandpiper House for our anniversary weekend and had a wonderful time. Peter and Manetta went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely stay and an extra special anniversary. The quality of the rooms, cleanliness and customer service are excellent. I can also highly recommend the breakfast!! I would most definitely return to Sandpiper House and have recommended it to friends and family.

Room Tip: I can definitely recommend the suite.

“A Little Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

This lovely B&B is a great place to stay if taking a 'couples' break in Whitby. We have just been for a two night mid-week break and it was perfect. Very well priced for the services provided and it was a pleasure to come back to at this time of year after a full day out exploring the area. The central location meant that it is just a short walk away from the beach one way and a short walk into the town centre the other way.

The hosts, Manetta and Peter make you feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was beautifully presented, very clean with some lovely touches such as the coffee machine, the great range of creams, lotions and potions in the bathroom and the soft, comfortable sofa to sit and watch TV. The crisp bed linen and comfortable bed made for a great nights sleep.

The breakfast was fabulous, again nothing was too much trouble and it set us up very well for the day ahead exploring Runswick Bay and Robin Hood's Bay which are a short drive away along the coast.

I would highly recommend this lovely gem of a find if you are a couple wanting to get away for a break in Whitby.

“Definitely going back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Had a great weekend in Whitby and a lot of that was down to Pete and his excellent B&B. We stayed in one of his apartments and it was a perfect base for spending a couple of days in this great seaside town. The apartment and the rooms were furnished and equipped to a very high standard and we felt completely at home. There was a great full English breakfast as well, and Pete really went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. Can't wait to return!

Room Tip: If there are a few of you going, definitely consider getting one of the apartments a they work out a...

“Ive just returned from my 3rd visit to the Sandpiper”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Ive just got back from Whitby and enjoyed a fantastic weekend in the Suite Room and the Sandpiper House. This is my third visit to the Sandpiper in as many years and its the first place I call when looking to book a room in Whitby. Peter and his wife Manetta are brilliant hosts and the breakfasts are outstanding. The quality of the Suite room at the Sandpiper is first class, without doubt the best B&B room I've ever stopped in, the attention to detail is fantastic. The location is ideal, just a short walk into the town and the beaches on the West Cliff. I cant wait to get back.

Room Tip: Go for the Suite room they have.
