My boyfriend and I recently stayed in Whitby, and came across The Pier when hungry, and decided to pop in for some lunch. Was quite busy when we arrived as there was a football game on, but there was a nice atmosphere to the place. We found a table easily and were pleased to see a nice traditional "pub food" menu at decent prices too. We ordered and waited for about 10-15 minutes for our food. I ordered scampi and chips, and my partner ordered lasange and chips. The food was nicely portioned, the only downside I can mention is that the chips could have done with being cooked for a little while longer, but they were still edible so no complaints. My scampi was lovely, and the lasange looked amazing, my boyfriend couldnt even manage it all! Nice little place to pop into. Staff at bar and chef were nice and friendly.
