Stayed for 2 nights during the Whitby Regatta and Folk Week! Kevin and Carol were very accommodating and friendly. We had a great big room at the top of the house, which was very clean and offered everything we needed, the water pressure out the shower was a little slow but we weren't in any rush! Breakfast in the morning was great with as much as we wanted and the option of fresh fruit was a winner for me. Parking was small, but off road and we had no problem moving the car when we wanted to go out. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A great experience all round, from the friendly welcome to the continued high levels of service throughout our stay. The room was lovely and spotless, the breakfast was well cooked and pleasantly served. I would recommend Holmleigh to anyone.

Stayed for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. Kev & Carol (and Rosie the dog) were very welcoming. Our room was well maintained and immaculately clean and very spacious with bay window, traditional fireplace and sofa as well as the usual amenities.
The main appeal for us of Holmleigh was the guaranted parking space for each room which takes away the worry of getting parked nearby and lets you enjoy strolling into the town centre (10 mins walk downhill). Whilst being situated on one of the main roads into Whiby, we had no problems with traffic noise overnight.

Breakfast was lovely, traditional b&b fayre.

Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone who wants a friendly, comfortable, conveniently located base for exploring Whitby and the nearby area.

Stayed for two nights in February - made to feel very welcome by the owners who were friendly and helpful. Room was lovely with a very comfortable bed and lots of room. Not too far from the town centre with a car park which was helpful. Short walk down the hill is a little bit of a pain on the way home but that's because we are so unfit! Breakfast both days was fabulous with top up of tea and toast as required. Perfect place for us to stay for our weekend and if we return to Whitby we would definitely stay. Would have given it 5 out of 5 if the shower had been more powerful but maybe we' are picky! Very nice place to stop..recommended
