“Superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

We had a two night stay in February and chose this B&B based on the reviews. We were not disappointed! This is by far the best B&B we have ever stayed at. On arrival we were welcomed by Karen and given homemade chocolate cake (delicious) and a drink, she told us about Whitby - where to go, what to see and suggested various restaurants. Garry then showed us to our room - complete with Tassimo coffee maker, complementary toiletries and the comfiest bed you could imagine. Breakfast was cooked to order, the sausages possibly some of the best I have ever asted! Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and their attention to small details did not go unnoticed - whilst attentive, I never felt they were intrusive. Many thanks to Garry and Karen for a fantastic weekend, I would definately revisit the Leeway and recommend it to others.

“Lovely stay - Would recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We stayed here in February for a 2 night stay. We chose the B&B based on the reviews on this site and can see why this B&B has its number one position. We had a lovely stay at the Leeway and will definately return. On arrival karen greeted us with tea and lemon cake which was lovely, she told us about Whitby, restaurant recommendatons, etc which was nice as we had never been before. We stayed in the Abbey room which was lovely, black and white decor, tassimo machine, bottled water, sky TV, white company hand wash and lotion, complementary magazines to browse, you could tell a lot of thought had been put into making the room just right and it was. The breakfasts were also lovely with lots of choice, they also did bacon or sausages barms which was nice if you wanted something a bit smaller than a full english. The B&B is in a great position with everything in walking distance. We will definately return to the Leeway and would recommend to others!

“Our 3rd Stay, amazing as ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

This was our 3rd year staying at The Leeway just for the night, and as ever, it was fantastic!
Karen and Gary couldn't make you feel more welcomed if they tried. Tea and a lovely cake was ready and waiting on arrival, nothing was too much trouble. The room is divine, the bed is the comfiest bed I've ever slept in, and all the little extras in the room is what make your stay so special. Every detail is thought of, and that little bit of extra luxury is what makes The Leeway the only accommodation we would ever consider staying in in Whitby now!

Room Tip: We stayed in The Abbey room, but all the rooms are wonderful.

“Comfortable and friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

A great three-day trip to Whitby was partly thanks to The Leeway, which is in the perfect location for sightseeing, and which offers good breakfasts, and those lovely extras like a bowl of sweets in the hallway, fresh milk (no annoying little cartons) and a top-end drinks machine in the comfortable bedroom. Didn't see Karen - although her pancakes were excellent - but we got a warm welcome, and plenty of local information from Garry, as well as some necessary assistance with the TV and DVD player when we were undergoing a 'blonde' moment.
Would go back again.
