Cannot for the life of me understand any criticisms of this lovely place, we stayed 2 nights over Christmas, the place was spotless, and it was huge. The lovely lounge on the right as you walk in has a huge fireplace, there was a beautifully decorated tree, dishes of sweets and nibbles on the coffee table, so very inviting and festive. The bedroom was fantastic, a 6 foot bed, with lovely pillows and fresh linen. Little touches were everywhere that made our time special, from perfume in the bathroom, to the small books on the tables at breakfast, which was also well cooked using fresh local produce. There was plenty of cereal, lovely fresh fruit including strawberries, melon, half grapefruit, blueberries, 2 different types of grape, kiwi & pineapple and all prepared ready to eat, yoghurts and home made jams and marmalades, toast brown or white. How the other person could complain about the size of breakfast is beyond me, maybe they are used to eating at transport cafes where they buy them cheap and pile them high! There was more than ample and all very nicely presented. There was a note on our bathroom door to the effect that they did have problems with creaking floors, which with a 400 year old building you would expect, and unless you have someone doing the lambada or a family with young children above you, it shouldn't cause a problem I would imagine. We stayed in the Nicholas Copping room with windows to the side of the property.
