“Very good B & B Very close to City Centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Just stayed two nights at this B & B January 2012 in room 5 which had just been refurbished. Room was at the front of the house which could have been a bit noisy due to being on a main road but the windows had secondary double glazing. Lovely and warm and comfortable. Room had an en-suite room which is new. Shower was a little slow to start but got going after a few minutes. Tea making facitlities was welcome in the morning. Nice biscuits also. Bed was comfortable. Nigel was brilliant in the morning with the english breakfast. Could not have asked for better service. Every thing you wanted was at a drop of a hat. Had a car park at the back of the hotel which was good. Left the car there all weekend as it was easy to walk everywhere. Would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Norwich. Good location.

Room Tip: Back of the hotel is better if you are troubled about noise although secondary double glazing is hel...

“Great location, a great find.”

Stayed here for 2 nights in January 2012. Very easy to find, great location and easy walking distance into the city. Parking also available, which is perfect for a stay in Norwich. It was great that we could choose our room from the website, with clear information about each room. The content of the website was identical to what we found. V comfortable room, lovely size bathroom. All needs catered for. Smashing breakfast and made to feel very welcome by Elspeth and Nigel. We have already recommended to friends and family and look forward to going there again.

“Good stay, good value, friendly place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

After picking this B&B from the good reviews on TripAdvisor, I had a twinge of worry when I first saw the place, as its exterior and its entrance hall aren't the most attractive. But this soon went away when given a friendly welcome and shown our lovely room. The size of room was excellent, with plenty of living space in addition to the big bed and decent-sized bathroom. The decoration and furnishings have a fairly contemporary look and appear quite new. All facilities in the room worked properly. Our room - number 3 - was at the front of the building on the first floor and did have some traffic noise through the double-glazing; this didn't bother us as we live in a city anyway, but those who prefer silence might do well to request the back of the building. Breakfasts were friendly with plenty of choice. The hosts' recommendations for pubs for evening meals were both excellent, too.

“Ideal location”

We have stayed here a few times. You get a warm welcome and are put at ease after a long journey. The house is a short walk into the centre of the city, so you just leave your car in their own car park. A real bonus as parking is awful in Norwich. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean and being in December, it was nice and warm. The shower in our room was very good, being hot and a good water pressure. So often a let-down in other small hotels. A good breakfast served by Nigel sets you up for your day exploring Norwich.
