As we walked up the steps the front door opened and we were welcomed by John Adams. This set the tone for the whole weekend.
The room was very comfortable, clean and sparkling with lovely touches such as a biscuit jar, a bowl of fruit and a flask of iced water, replenished each morning.
The breakfast was superbly cooked and there was a good variety. We sat at a communal table which is not usually to our liking but the company was so congenial that we were reluctant to break up the party!
It is an easy walk into the city, though frequent buses pass the house.
All in all, a good experience and excellent value for money.
