Great location for eateries nearby- La Tasca, Zizzis, All Bar One, pub grub, other little restaurants and take away places all within less than 5 minutes walk - some within spitting distance. I can only speak for my room but it was large with a huge double bed- all facilities (hairdryer, refreshments tray, toiletries).
The bathroom was a tiny bit worn but nothing too disturbing. A very warm hotel and room which during a very cold week in February is some achievement! Staff were really pleasant and reception always acknowledged my arrival - on check in but also every time I returned to the hotel- even if it was just a quick 5 minute fresh air break.
Decent breakfast - sometimes to order and sometimes buffet self service style but always plentiful with fruit, yoghurt, porridge, usual cooked options with FRESH mushrooms and served with a smile.
This hotel has lots of character and is a nice break away from 'chain' hotels, which can be a bit samey.
I phoned in advance with some queries (weather and gym check) and my queries were responded to with the same friendly approch I found on arrival. By the way there are no gym but facilities linked to the hotel apparently not far away for £10.. although I never made it there!!
