I stayed at the Stracey Hotel as I was meeting friends in the City for a birthday celebration. The room was scrupulously clean, as was the bathroom. The breakfast was lovely too. But, the star really was the lady who was on duty on this evening - nothing was too much trouble for her, and I was a bit of a pain; sorry.

I stayed here for one night in a single room, the room was small but was functional and well furnished and very clean, the bathro was spotless and very good.
There was a slight bit of noise as people returned to their rooms late at night but otherwise I slept well. The downside is there is no food at all in the evenings not even a sandwich but the hotel is opposite an indian and a coffee shop and near the station.
Very pleasant and a good location I would stay again.

Just stayed here for 2 nights on business after recommendations from a colleague.
Room was very nice, good size for a single and great ensuite.
I was on GF but had no problems with noise. Staff helpful and polite. Breakfast relaxed and they just leave you to get on. Not tried cooked breakfast but it looks and smells good.
On the back of the last 2 nights I will be staying 2-3 nights over the next few months.
No reason to look anywhere else. I parked on the road outside the hotel, unlimited between 1830 & 0830.

We had an overnight stay at the Stracey Hotel room 6. The staff were friendly and polite. The twin room we had was lovely, modern, spacious, clean and tidy. There were extra pillows and tea, coffee & biscuits. The shower room was spotless, plenty of towels, little bottles of shampoo and shower gel.
