“London”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Great apartment 1 min away from 2 different tube stations, so you can connect easily to diferent points in town as well as a bus stop 1 min from the front door and a few minutes walk to the bus that takes you to Camdem Town. Very good comunications.
Bars, restaurants and several supermarkets as well as a shopping center in within a 5 minutes walk.
The apartments are clean and warm. "Ikea" tipe of decorations. Clean bathroom, with hot towel rack ( very nice) and shower. Bed is average but ok. Flat TV ( small )Has as kichenette, microwave, fridge, forks, knifes..pretty much you are cover for some easy cooking, or easier microwave any gorgeous ready made meal.
There is no room service and apartment is cleaned once if staying for a week or over.
If you need hairdryer you need to leave a 20 pounds deposit as well as for adaptors or 5 pounds if you want your baggage stored on the day you leave the apartment before going to the airport. Free wifi in the lobby and a coffe machine.
Fits wonderfully for a London break.

“Looks are Deceiving..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

After reading reviews on here, this hotel didn't sound too promising. But when we arrived here, it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be.
Although, our shower was broken, the bed was rock hard with flat pillows, the tv remote had no back - just batteries celotaped in. This didn't give a very good impression, and gave it a tacky feeling.
The lift was slow, and there are no stairs apart from the fire exit. The lock on our door was about 2ft from the floor, meaning you have to pretty much break your back to reach it..
Apart from all this, there was no major problems with our stay here, and the location was brilliant. And it is recomended if you just want somewhere to sleep if your out and about a lot!

“Good Location, Bad Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012 via mobile

While the location, facade and cost of these apartments would suggest a high quality of service these apartments are very deceiving.

The number of other guests we overheard (not difficult when the only wifi is in the reception area) complaining to reception staff was appalling & each time the reception staff failed to satisfy the legimate concerns of patrons. Probably the most significant of these encounters was the guest who ripped into the reception staff (who by the way are the only staff) for supplying incorrect rooms following her request and payment for several rooms of the same quality all next to each other. She was given varying rooms of varying quality on several different floors. The staff had no explanation or solution. Another patron had accidentally double booked online after a credit card malfunction (which the staff understood and knew before her arrival) however they refused to refund the second room, which the guest clearly would not be using!

Our basement room was reasonable but not brilliant however the once weekly cleaning (including rubbish disposal and replacement of things such as toilet rolls) was concerning.

Perhaps most concerning however was the curious business of the luggage storage room. Some of the reception staff (there are perhaps four to five people who work at the desk, no others) charged £5 for luggage storage whilst others charged nothing. It appeared that there was a small side business going on there for some employees....

“Look elsewhere”

There was a cockroach infestation in our room. I saw at least 5 young cockroaches, which were running in and out of a hole in the wall just next to the shower.

Wasn't very clean, hard bed with flat pillow, crappy shower, very basic room.

The ONLY good point was the location. Not worth sharing with cockroaches, though.

“Great location but not so great beds”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

I stayed in a Double Room apartment with a friend for three nights.
The price is unbeatable for the location of the hotel. It is situated conveniently only a few minutes walk from Bayswater and Queensway Underground stations, and only a minute away from Hyde Park.

Our room was small. Just a tiny kitchenette, a double bed, a closet and a bathroom. The shower is quite snug and waterpressure low, but temperature of the water is steady and nice. Our room was on the 3rd floor, facing the street, and Saturday night was occasionally noisy, but not more than expected from staying in a city. The other nights were quiteter. We slept with the window open all nights.

The bed is litterally the worst bed I have ever slept in! A hard, spring mattress, creaking at every move. I slept a maximum of 3-4 hours every night (going to bed at 11pm and getting up at 8am) due to never finding a comfortable position that did not hurt. I had a strong urge to sleep on the hardwood floor, as it looked softer to me on the third night there. The bed is also against the wall, so if you are sharing the bed, one of you will have to get in from the foot end of the bed.

The staff is nice and helpful and you can borrow electrical adaptors, hairdryers or internet cables for a deposit.

There is free wireless internet on the ground floor, but the sitting area provided is limited to 2 sofas, so be prepared to surf next to someone you don't know.

All in all a nice stay, but I could not recommend staying for more than maximum 2 nights due to the bed.
