My wife and I just returned from a one week stay at The Grand at Trafalgar Square. The location is fantastic with easy access to the Underground, bus and train stations. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again if we return to London.

this is the second visit to the Grand/club quarters in northumberland ave the location is superb..staff are very efficient we were given our room at 12! not 3pm which was great..we were visiting london for a theatre break..our room was on the 4th floor excellent facilities..spotless..if you run out of anything there are cupboards full on each landing along with free bottled water and ice!! we had a marvellous weekend the jersey boys were amazing!! we left our luggage at the hotel and collected it in the evening.there are many restaurants close by and the ghost bus tour stops right outside it is a great hotel central for all the sights..i would recommend it to all.

My boyfriend booked this hotel as we were up in London seeing The Lion King at the Lycuem Theatre so it wasn't to far away so it was a perfect location. Arrived at the hotel before we could check in so we spoke to the staff at reception and they double checked our booking and said we could leave our luggage in the storage room so we could go out and then come back and check in later. So that was lovely we didn't have to cart our bags around with us. I then asked the receptionist what tube stop would we need to get off for Madame Tussards. She was polite and told us the answer. We arrived back at the hotel about 4pm and collected our keys and bags from the storage room. The lady explained all we needed to know about water dispenses on every floor and to swipe our room key in the lift before we press what floor we wanted. Hotel room was lovely, clean and just what I had expected and it had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. We went out for food and then The Lion King show, came back to the hotel and went to bed. The next morning we could check out at 12pm so we decided to have a look around the Square and have some breakfast. The only thing that let the hotel down was the price of the breakfast. They wanted roughly £8 per breakfast for some crossiants, toast, cheese and ham. Very over priced so we just went to Mcdonalds instead and had a wander around the Art Museum and the Square. We came back to collect our bags and check out. Checking out very simple and modern using build in computers you could check yourselves out and post the key swiping cards into a box. Overall a lovely hotel and polite staff.

Difficult trying to dodge the smokers outside the hotel whilst manoeuvering yourself and your bags inside - then you have to use your swipecard for the lifts and security doors whilst avoiding bashing into revellers with drinks. Its more geared up for the bar/restaurant with functions than a hotel. Probably because I stayed around Christmas but I felt like I had gatecrashed someones party. Room was nice though. Tried to order food at the restaurant and waited 15 mins for service (they werent busy, just looking in the opposite direction), only to find out they had stopped serving food. It isnt somewhere I would stay again - there are better places in Central London for the same price.
