I had planned this trip for ages, and with this hotel being in posh south Kensington / Knightsbridge and costing £400 per night for a 2-bedroom, I had great expectations.
What turned out was that the apt looked more like 3 small rooms connected by a corridor than a cosy condo. Beds were small, wardrobes were dusty and not working properly and pots/pans worn out.
On the plus side I did not have any problems with hot water. Toilets were clean and modern- definitely have been retrofitted. Kitchen other than the pans was clean. The living area was our favorite part of the apt. Cozier and looked more modern than the tired-looking bedrooms.
Location is GREAT. Walk to natural history museum, many restaurants easily, and harrods a little further but still a nice walk. Hyde park too. Try muriel's kitchen across the road, and paul's patisserie across from Muriel for fresh coffee and hot baked goods from early - 7am or 8am. Le comptoir libanais and the creperies are great too. Tube is there as well, a stone's throw, and this station sits on 3 lines - picadilly, circle and district lines, which brings you from heathrow to practically any tourist attraction in London!
On balance, if you're looking for an average place in central London this would be great. For me, I wanted more luxury and comfort for my family, and so this did not meet my expectations.

We very much appreciate this very objective review that seeks to help potential guests on a wide variety of aspects related to this guest's stay - with regard to the location and attractions of the area, as well as the apartments themselves.
I certainly agree with regards to Muriel's Kitchen - also very good for a sample of English Cuisine (yes, there really is such a thing) at lunchtime or in the evening - and Paul's Patisserie - my favourite breakaway for a coffee in the area.
It's very good to hear that this reviewer is abe to counter some of the recent comments, whch related to those very unfortunate few days in September when we were badly affected by a major power cut in the area.
Naturally, we very much regret the ways in which this reviewer was disappointed. We have investigated and have taken action with regards to the shortcomings mentioned. Frankyl, we are surprised that the Two Bedroom Apartment was considered small. The usual comment is the exact opposite, given that most of our Two Bedroom Two Bathroom Apartments are noticeably larger than any others at the same level in the area. The layout of these apartments does vary from one to another in the building but the smallest are 78 square meters / 840 square feet.
All in all, a very helpful review for anybody considering staying in South Kensington. Our thanks again to the reviewer for an objective review.
