“Excellent Service - Great Location”

Fraser Place Queens Gate - thank you!
My husband and I arrived from Singapore at approx 7am the morning of the 17th Jan.
We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who showed ushered my husband and myself to where we could grab breakfast and a coffee while our room was sorted out.
We were shown 2 rooms and had a choice between the two! And most importantly were able to check in at 7am which was unexpected butt fabulous!!!
Fraser Place is situated around the corner from the Gloucester Rd underground which can get you most places you would need to go in no time at all.
The rooms were clean and had all the amenties that we required.
We were also provided with free internet for the time that we were there which was fantastic and really helpful for us to research what we wanted to do each day.
Breakfast, whilst being continental was extensive.
We really enjoyed our stay and if we ever find ourselves back in London again we would certainly return and definitely recommend to friends. :)

Room Tip: Road side is a little noisy if you are a light sleeper

“Old, simple room and nothing more”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

I was really disappointed in this place. It is not cheap, but yet my room was so old and run down. I am familiar with simple European stays but this place, I would not go back to. The floors squeaked whenever the neighbors moved a muscle and the bed was not much better than a nice double-size cot. My kitchen smelled awful of moldy refrigerator, so I was sure to steer clear of it. The shower was not powerful and managed to spray all over the walls, while very little just straight down. Maybe my room had not been refurbished since their brochures sure looked a lot nicer than my room...but no way to be sure. The breakfast was ok, but for 10gbp you could find a nice bakery just outside the door, or even the supermarket across the street.

Room Tip: Ask for a modern refurbished room....if there even are any.

“SHORT BREAK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Travelled down to London for my husband's 60th birthday. Room spotlessly clean; although some noise from the road. Kitchen facilities "adequate" to make light snacks/meals. Bathroom was a little "tired" and the loo flush left a lot to be desired. (we stayed in 104). There was an awful lot of noise from the floorboards above our apartment. We didn't get much sleep for 3 days due to the constant to-ing & fro-ing above! Pillows AWFUL. There were no pillow protectors under pillowcases. Very flat and uncomfortable. I ended up using a cushion in a pillowcase.
Breakfast was continental and LOVELY fresh pastries. Help yourself to making your own toast too which was lovely. Coffee machine v. good & deliciously hot.
Would definitely return; although we booked via British Airways (hotel only); which included breakfast. I have just checked their website & doesn't seem to be there now? Have they stopped sending guests there? If you book direct; an extra charge of £9 per head is charged for breakfast - overprices I think. All in all a lovely stay.
Staff very welcoming on arrival. On check out though they never asked whether we enjoyed our stay?

Room Tip: Maybe request a rear room?

“Reasonable place Great location.”

We has a weekend stay after getting a reasonable deal from BA. Got in late in Friday and the staff were welcoming and got us sorted quickly. Our room was in the lower groundfloor just below street level. It was clean, well equiped with TV, DVD, hifi, fridge etc and the bed was quite comfy. With the street close by there was a fair bit of traffic noise and people walking by but it didn't stop us sleeping. The location was great with the museums next door and the tube a stones throw away.

The continental breakfast was included and was so so. A few cereal choices, machine coffee and some pastries but then the place is set up for you to make your own in your room.

The room could've used some fresh paint and the shower handle fell off every time you turned it on so a bit of attention to detail would get this place an extra star....

Room Tip: Not the basement!!

“Good place for family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

I booked a 2 bedroom apartment for the 4 of us during our 6 day stay in London. Although the place is due for renovation, our unit was spacious and hardness of the mattress to our liking. Our unit was toward the back of the property so it was quiet and we were able to sleep well. Front staff was friendly and helpful. We had a washing machine inside our unit and that helped too as we would be on the road for almost a month. The complementary coffee on the go was a nice touch. Will definitely stay in this property when I come back to London again.
