“A comfortable and clean room, good price, friendly staff - what more do you want?”

Booked via lastminute and price was so reasonable I was a bit concerned what was in store. I needn't have worried. So often in London there seems little between glorified flop house and stupidly expensive 4* chains but this occupies that thin stratum between the two. Great value - I've stayed there six nights now and paid between £55 and £65 per night including breakfast. Room was quiet, clean, good size; looks -along with the hotel - to have been recently refurbished. Staff were all friendly and genuinely interested in guests' comfort. Breakfast offers a good choice - includingsomewhat bizzarely a box of Family Circle chocolate biscuits among the more usual elements! - and Finsbury Park tube (5 mins from Kings X) is six or seven minutes walk away.
Has become my regular haunt whilst working in London.

“Refurbished to a good standard”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We chose this hotel due to its handy location for visiting family and car parking facility. The hotel is well situated opposite Finsbury Park in a residential area within walking distance of the tube station and buses. The rooms are compact with hanging rails rather than a wardrobe and no bath, however the hotel has been refurbished to a high standard with comfortable beds, a good shower and free internet access. Breakfast was fine, a cold buffet with cold meats, boiled eggs, warm croissants etc and the staff were friendly and efficient. All in all a clean and comfortable hotel.

Fair price at 65 pounds per night. Clean room, hard bed but I slept well. A little back from Seven Sisters Road so little noise. Good bathroom, slow but free internet.

“Excellent value for money, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Manor House tube station. The tube journey to the West End was about 10 minutes and walking down the well lit main road (seven sisters) at 11pm felt safe.
On arrival the receptionist was friendly and told us we had been upgraded so instead of a triple room we stayed in an apartment which consisted of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. This was in a building in the carpark not in the main hotel. It was clean and spacious (2 double beds and a single, plenty of space for 5, even though we were only 3). The beds were very comfortable.
There was plenty of choice for breakfast - ham, cheese, yogurts, cereal, fruit, croissants etc. Even a random box of Teatime biscuits.
We paid £98 for 3 adults and felt this was exceptionally good value. The only 'critisism' we have is - there were no chairs in the bedrooms. Also the locks were the card type. I have no idea how secure these are but as the apartment door opened directly into the car park we would have felt more secure if there had been a bolt on the outside door.
We would definitely choose this hotel again if we visited London.
