It is important to note that London is one of the most expensive cities in the world. For that reason, this hotel, while not a luxury hotel, still represents a good value. Our room was on the top floor (4th floor if you count them American style) with no elevators. It was a triple room, and was comfortable enough if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in the room. The bathroom was big enough to have a full tub with shower, but for some reason they have just the shower. Using water in the bathroom caused an automatic loud pump to turn on.
But putting all that aside, when you step out on the street and walk a few blocks you are in Hyde Park. Mayfair and Soho are walking distance. We even did the (long) walk down to the river to the London Eye from this hotel.
The breakfast was decent, and the service was very nice.
So, it is not a luxury hotel, but it represents a good value for the low room rates compared with other hotels in London.
