We stayed for one night as a stop over when going to Paris. We knew the room would be small and that was fine, though 'small' is a bit of an over exaggeration......miniscule would be more like it. The 'double' bed was no more than a large single, which isn't very helpful when one of you is 6'3" and it was so soft that we both work with back ache after a fitful few hours of sleep.
The bathroom was vile, smelt of damp and the ceiling was covered in mold, as you can see by the picture. The shower didn't drain, it just pooled in the middle of the again miniscule shower room. It also looked like the thing would fall on your head in a second so we didn't go anywhere near it.
I like two pillows and they only provided one each so I asked for another one at reception and was promptly told to come back in an hour because the girl behind the counter was far too busy to get one now! Nice customer service skills I thought!
However, after a crap night's sleep, in a tiny bed, in a room which smelt of damp, in a hotel when staff who don't care about their customer's.....we did only have to walk for 5 minutes to get to St Pancras. Past several other budget hotels on the same road which looked much nicer from the outside!
Room Tip: go somewhere else!
