have stayed in a number of budget hotels in this area but due to a booking misunderstanding we found ourselves walking door to door luggage in tow at 7.30 am on a wet wednesday morning . at the tudor court an amiable chap on reception offered a ' compact twin en-suite ' at 80 pounds per night though he readily accepted an offer of 60 [ bit of a result for this part of the city] the room was exactly as described ,compact but impressively clean . the bathroom was small but again in excellent condition . the bed linen and towels were also newish looking and comfortable . there was a good tv with freeview . an english breakfast is served and we found this to be tasty enough , all staff were helpful and friendly , all in all a pleasant surprise as you cant expect too much for your hard earned in these parts . would stay again for sure ,as a footnote if you like to lie in at morning time and dont mind climbing stairs ,ask for a room on an upper floor as the rumblings of the tube begin at about 5.30 am , this would apply to all hotels in the area to be fair
