“Comfortable, Great Location, Clean, Great Stay”

We returned to B and B in Barnes several times. It is a very clean Bed and Breakfast, good prices comparing to prices in London, ideal location, 10-15 min from Hammersmith Tube/Metro; less than a min walk to a bus stop that takes you to Tube. 10 min from Hammersmith and you are already in the center of London. Stella Mason is an excellent host making a good full English Breakfast every morning. B and B is very clean, has TV in each room, fresh towels; everything you need for your stay in London. Each room has a free and fast Wi-Fi. If you are driving to B and B there is free parking on the street. Definitely will recommend this cozy place to everyone. Will return when back to London.

“A very nice place to stay”

My boyfriend and I stayed at the B&B in Barnes for three nights while visiting the sights in London. It offers very nice accommodations for a fairly reasonable price (especially for London), including a comfortable and warm bed, small sitting area (in at least one of the rooms), and free wi-fi. It's within two minutes walk of a bus stop, and just a few minutes more to restaurants and some shopping. Stella was very helpful and informative, and offered a nice breakfast in the mornings. Should I ever make my way back to London, I would happily stay there again.

“A Well Managed B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

My parents came to visit for the weekend and stayed two nights in this B&B. The room was clean, location ideal to access putney and Stella Mason was an excellent host making a good full english breakfast. The cost was significantly cheaper than nearby hotels and given that we spent most of the time in central london this was an ideal retreat at the end of the day. Would use again.

“Comfortable, clean, convenient, and ... QUIET!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

We had thought that the location near the busy Upper Richmond Road might make it noisy -- not a bit of it! The house is in a quiet road, and we had two night's excellent, QUIET, sleep! But being close to the main road meant it was literally two minutes walk to the bus stop, where buses came along every 7 - 10 minutes, and could whisk you in just a few minutes to Richmond, Barnes or Hammersmith, to connect easily with other buses, the underground or overground trains -- I was amazed at how convenient this was.

Our room was nicely furnished, with crisp linen on the beds, and the towels were large and fluffy. Sharing the bathroom wasn't a problem, and it was large, clean and well-fitted. Stella's breakfast was delicious, with a wide choice of cereals, juices, fruit, etc., and a good choice of 'eggs any way you would like, free range of course' and grilled bacon, toast, etc. Yummy! The icing on the cake (could it get better?!), was the friendly banter round the breakfast table with other guests: Ilya, a 25-year old Russian tennis player, and Mr & Mrs Otto, a Dutch couple who were visiting their son at Rohampton University -- he joined us, and we nattered on -- of course, all the visitors spoke excellent English!

Stella was very helpful in every respect and made us feel very welcome in her home. She was eager to help the Dutch couple arrange their onward transport and looked up details on the internet and phoned a local taxi company. She couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

An excellent location for sightseeing in South West London (Barnes Village and the Wetlands bird centre, Richmond, and the Park, Kew Gardens, etc.), or for going into Central London for the main tourist attractions. Thoroughly recommended!

“Great Location”

Three of us stayed for 5 days in August. Very pleased with the location. Stella is very informative. Easy to get bus and train. Taxi came right to door the day we left. Very reasonable rates
