My husband and I stayed in the B&B in Barnes for our first two nights in Europe and were not disappointed! Stella took very good care of us and helped us plan out our only day in London. The B&B is tucked away in a little neighborhood in Barnes and is a 15 minute walk to the Thames River. The bus (that can take you to the train that arrives at the airport) is a 2 minute walk and the train (that takes you to the middle of London) is a 10 minute walk from the B&B. The walk to the train is beautiful and surrounded by trees with a lit pathway.
Our room was very clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. Breakfast was very yummy, Stella cooks up some wonderful french toast and scrambled eggs with bacon :-)
You can't beat the price, as everything in London is expensive. This is a perfect location for visiting London (it took us maybe 20 minutes by train to get to Waterloo Station in London) and it's just far away enough to where you feel like you're not stuck in a busy & loud city.
I highly recommend this B&B for anyone who is on a budget and looking for a clean, comfortable and convenient place to stay in London :-)

I have been lecturing in SW13 for two terms now and have been staying at Stella Mason's B&B for one night per week from November to March 2011. This is a very warm, comfortable and homely B&B and very efficiently organised and run. Everything is impeccably clean and the bedrooms are cosy - first-class bathroom and brilliant shower facilities. Stella cooks a nice breakfast and it is good value for the money charged. Excellent for those doing business in or wishing to stay in SW London, and for visitors who do not wish to pay for expensive Central London hotels. Transport into the centre of London is easy, frequent and fast.

We stayed here recently as we are visiting friends in Barnes.
Very very clean, very comfy and accomodating. We had a lovely time!

This B&B is just perfect : the ostess is very nice and helpful, so is her husband. The room (for 3) was large, well kept and very well equiped (micro waves, plates, pc with internet). The bathroom with bath and separate shower is perfect. And english breakfasts are ... yummy !. The bus stop is around the corner, with connection to the tube (Piccadilly line).
An address we will recommend, but above all ... keep for our next stay in London !
