“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

Rosebery Hall is a great place to stay in London if you're on a budget. It is located in a good area with easy links to the West-End and only a five-minute walk to the Angel tube station. This is a student accommodation, so rooms are basic but clean. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The only problem is the Wi-Fi in the dining hall, which is very, very slow and does not work most of the times.

Room Tip: Chose a new wing.

Thanks for the feedback, we’re glad to hear that on the whole you enjoyed your stay. We’ve taken the feedback about internet access on board and we’re looking into solutions, we realise our current provision is not ideal. The new wing is labelled as Myddelton on our website and the rooms are a touch more expensive due to their better facilities.

“Cool location, great value and a very substantial breakfast included”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

A really good location that is very close to central London and served by an excellent bus service. The facilities although basic were clean and the breakfast included in the price was extremely good value. The only snag we encountered was that we arrived very early in the morning and we were given a room already occupied which was rather embarrassing plus there were no towels available so we had to share. Other than that, we would definitely recommend the LSE as exceptionally good value accommodation.

Thanks for the feedback, we’re glad to hear that on the whole you enjoyed your stay. We must have messed up with your room here and our apologies for that. Normally, there is a towel per person in the room plus extras at reception – we’ll look into why there were none available during your stay.

“Cheap, No-Frills Accomodation in the Heart of London”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

Stayed for 3 nights and, although Student Halls are never going to be comparable to the Ritz, this is reflected in the amazingly cheap price! The location was superb, the room basic, but clean and everything worked in the amenity area. The bed was not great, but was comfortable enough for a few nights. The shower room was down the corridor and rather off-putting to look at, but had good water-pressure and a constant (warm) temperature. Definitely need to pack a dressing-gown though as there was no space to dry off and get dressed in the small wet-room. Service was good with cheerful & helpful staff. There was a fair amount of noise, but it did quieten down around 1am. I'd certainly consider this option again & anyone wanting a cheap, no-frills stay in a great location should give it a go.

Thank you for your feedback. In general our quiet hours run from 11pm to 7.30am, and if you have an issue with overnight noise just call security and they will look into it immediately.

“Good value and good location”

With frequent buses into the West End, trendy Islington 10 minutes walk away and Exmouth market on your doorstep, Rosebery Hall is in a good location. Being college accommodation rooms you would expect room to only be available outside term times, but I have also found them to be available in term times too. The rooms themselves are fine, with shared showers and toilets, but there are washbasins in the rooms. Breakfast is good, with a wide choice of hot and cold food. There is also a bar on the premises.

Room Tip: The front of the building overlooks a busy road so you may wantto choose a room at hte back of the b...

Thank you for your feedback, we’re glad that you enjoyed your stay! In general accommodation is available at Rosebery over Christmas, Spring and in late Summer. Just a warning - the Bar is not always open during the vacation periods.

“Rosebery Works.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

What do you do when you’re stuck for a few days in Central London, on a budget, and in dire need of a quiet space to work? Easy answer: look up LSE Vacations online. All their buildings fit the bill, but Rosebery Hall most definitely scores extra points for its superior location, simple, comfy surroundings, and friendly staff. Breakfast (if you choose), can be cooked or cold, and taken in one truly spacious dining room that’s actually better than most 2-3 star hotels. The only down-side is LSE does not open year round, so be sure to check their website for dates. Space can be a little tight near the desk in basic double/twin rooms, and if you’re using the (spotless) shower, let it run first, or it might open with a cold blast! Other than that, relax and let the good times roll.

Room Tip: Travel light, and make full use of the wardrobe - lots of space.
