“Excellent location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

My family of four booked this room for an overnight stay in London based on the positive reviews from this site...and we were not disappointed! Yes the rooms are small but for the price and a place to sleep after touring the city all day, it was perfect. The staff was wonderful! They went out of there way to help us with our sightseeing questions, even booked our tickets. They were patience with all of our tourist questions. Breakfast was what you would expect with the price of the hotel...I'm not sure what people expect, it's not a four star hotel. They have sitting inside and outside the breakfast area, it was not a problem with sitting.
Would not hesitate to stay there again for an overnight visit!

“No I didn't love it and i will not come again”

At first I must say that the staff tried to rob me - I look pretty innocent I guess, and I arrived there alone very late a night, my parents arrived tomorrow. I was 20 years old and paid the whole amount in advance online.
When I came there, they said they don't see my payment and that I have to pay again. I refused and explained that it was charged from my credit card and that I can bring them a proof from my bank in my country. They said I have to speak to the manager early in the morning but I can stay this night.
I don't need to say that I haven't slept the whole night worrying.
In the morning there was no manager, and they forgot the whole thing saying "its OK".
The next 2 days were disaster - I guess they threw a party, there was a loud music all night long and their friends arrived and made noise all night long. The rooms are dissapointment and the shower is horrible. If you want to breakfast, you better get up at 7 AM.
I definitely don't recommend this "hotel" to anyone.

“If you want luxury this hotel is not for you”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 May 2011

Came up to London to go to the theatre. Wanted a hotel that was close by and it was in an excellant location and not too expensive and clean. It ticked theses boxes, Room was ok but wouldn't go back. There were only two of us but as there weren't any twin rooms ensuite we had a triple room. Very pleased we had as I thought other comments were exaggerated as to rooms being small we had 3 beds in there and that was adequate for two. Had no problem with water being hot as other reviewers had found.
Glad I had read the breakfast comments as I wasn't expecting a feast and had the same problem as some reviewers with seating not being available. In all fairness we did come down at about nine.. Not much choice but as it was 'buffet style (' I use that word loosely) you could have as much as you wanted so wouldn't go hungry and it was edible.
Comments about rude staff guy take no notice guy we saw was very welcoming. However, we had problems with very noisy guests above our room practically all night , had very little sleep and although it was not the hotels fault I personally think that a small monetry refund would have been a very nice gesture as I literally only had a few hours sleep.
Wouldn't go back to this hotel but was a base for one nights stay.

“Friendly and helpful staff but tiny room.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 April 2011

The staff are very friendly and keen to help with advice whenever asked. Location great. Our room was tiny; just enough room to fit the beds and our suitcases. Bathroom good and everything very clean, but water not always hot until later in the morning. A bit of a pain if you want to make an early start. Stairs throughout the hotel are very steep and narrow, so trundling luggage around is a problem. Breakfast was good but the dining room is very small and couldn't fit all the guests so we couldn't have breakfast together. No internet.
Overall this is a nice place to stay, mostly because of the very friendly staff, location and cleanliness, but be aware that the rooms are tiny and very cramped.

“1st stay-great, 2nd visit-disappointed”

A group of us stayed here in June 2007 and it was perfect for the price. Clean, friendly staff, incredible location near Victoria station and major attractions. Two years later I stayed here again and it had completely changed. Unclean, insects in the showers. Very disappointed. The rooms are quite small and are filled with as many beds as possible. Bathrooms are shared mostly on another level. The breakfast consisted of cereals, while toast, juice and coffee.
