“Great value and does the job a treat!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012 via mobile

Cracking place. Doesn't look much from outside but is modern, clean and well finished inside. Great rates for London and family rooms a tad small but more than enough when you consider you'll be out all day! Breakfast was simple but very effective and did the job. Take breakfast before 8.30 at peak times as it does get very busy after that. It's about 10 mins (max) walk from West Kensington tube station and is no probs. We felt safe walking at night with our two young children from the tube to the hotel so no problems there. Would highly recommend and would return so that is a good sign. We are fussy folk so it must be ok!! Enjoy!

“Nice Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

My family and I stayed at this location and it was very nice. Clean, good breakfast, quiet and very helpful staff. Beatriz (front desk) was very knowledgeable and explained how to get where we needed to go. The hotel is a very quick walk to West Kensington tube stop and not far from West Brompton either. We found a great pub down the street to the left leaving the hotel called the Goose; 3 meals drinks included for 13 Pounds, Cheapest we found while in London.. There is also a Vegan restaurant right across the street that we ate at. We are not Vegan and found the food very good. The owner is at the location and spent about 20 minutes at our table talking with us. There are several other quick places to grab a bite within 10 mins. Thai, fish and chips, Kebabs, you name it. We spent 4 days and 3 nights and can't complain. The only thing I will say is that the rooms are much smaller than those in the USA. I'd stay there again if I was in London.

If you are arriving from Heathrow, Take the "Piccadilly line" east to Earls Court then change at Earls Court to the "District line" west to West Kinsington. When you come out of the tube station go left to the hotel only 10 mins walk.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 209 and it was very quiet.

“Good Value, Clean & Comfortable-ish”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

I stayed here for four nights on business recently and found the previous reviews to be fair and representative i.e.

Pros:

- Hotel is good value (particularly if booked on a discount website – I paid £50 per night)
- Check-in is quick and friendly
- Rooms are clean and fairly comfortable
- Location is ok being 10 minutes from West Kensington tube and 20 minutes from there to the West End or 30 minutes to the City
- Showers are reasonably powerful
- Choice of pillows provided
- Reasonable choice of UK Freeview channels
- Adequate breakfast included
- North End Road where the hotel is located has a range of small supermarkets and takeaways including the usual Subway, McDonalds, Fish ‘n’ Chips and KFC
- My room (217) at the back of the hotel was very quiet

Cons:

- The mattresses on the beds were a little too thin and bouncy for my liking – evidence of the budget nature of the hotel
- My room also had a sofa bed and, although nice and quiet, it was compact and so a family with children may find it cramped if staying for more than a couple of nights
- The hotel is a little “out of the way” and the district line always seems to take much longer than other London underground lines!

However, perhaps I’m being a little picky as the hotel offered excellent value for London and I would use it again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel. 217 was very quiet and away from the man road.

“Good Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Stayed as a couple for three nights end January 2012. Found the hotel great value and breakfast was good. Room had no frills but was clean, bright, good enough size and beds were comfortable. Bathroom good too. Had no problems with noise or building works. Hairdryer and TV worked and Iron was available from reception. It was about 7-10 mins from tube and we found the area very safe to walk around at night but probably wouldnt have been happy to do so if I was a girl on my own. There was a very good Brazillian restaurant about 10 mins down North End Road towards Fulham called Rodizio Rio (or something like that)

“Value for money, Good Location. Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed in this property last November 2011.( We love the design of the room - with complete amenities as always..)We attended the annual London Travel Mart. We initially wanted to stay for 2 nights and moved to another hotel closer to the conference area. We eventually stayed for 4 nights for a lot of reasons. The hotel reception staff was so accommodating they helped us with the printing of the documents needed to the conference. They have WIFI at the lobby at a minimal charge. So we can do our work and talk to our staff in Manila. The breakfast menu suits to our Asian bud. There was one morning that we needed to leave early for our meeting and the restaurant was still closed, they normally open at 7 i think but when they realised that there were people in the restaurant - they let us have our breakfast and open the restaurant. We have stayed in several Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Express chains and I admire the friendliness of their staff, Be it Barcelona, Manila< Paris or Vienna. They are all charming and accommodating. Salute to you guys! keep it up!

Room Tip: corner rooms are always bigger:)
