“You get what you pay for...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

Me & my partner stayed here for 2 nights in June, we needed place close to hyde park for a gig and somewhere with parking which was only £10 per day which is nothing in London.

Staff where lovely.

We basically only slept in the room as they are rather on the small size if you’re looking for somewhere cheap and to crash I recommend Springfield however if you want luxury pay the price for it.

“It's a rip-off”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

The hotel is pretty bad. I emailed them few days before my arrival asking how I could get there using public transposrtation and they never got back to me. You have to pay the whole stay on your arrival! Plus, if you pay with credit card they charge you 4% plus. The bed was not very clean. Plus, the daily cleaning was not good. They forget to put soap on the bathroom. There was no curtain in the shower, so the bathroom was always soaked. The fornt desk people were not able to give any info about the city attractions or transportation. They were not friendly at all. There's no lift. They charge way too much for what they offer. I DO NOT recommend the hotel.

“Only in emergency”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

We stayed at the Springfield only because we arrived one day earlier and didn't have a hotel for the night. We were in four and they had a family room available and it was conveniently near the hotel we had booked for the next day. Unfortunately the room was at the top floor and there wasn't a lift so we had to carry our luggage up 6 flights of steep steps. The room and the bathroom were very small, but we could manage to have a bath in spite of the broken shower and the sewer smell. Breakfast was included but the rate was too high for what we got. Thankfully it was just for one night.

“Terrible plumbing! smell in room impossible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2011

although great location and decent enough breakfast there was an obvious plumbing problem. Any time the shower was used the room was filled with a dirty sewer smell as if the water then diturbes something nasty lurking beneath. could not stay here again!!!!
