“Good for friends”

We spent four nights in a doble room. It's small but enough for us.
If you're going there just for sleep, OK. But be sure the breakfast is very poor.
Wiifi didn't works only in the last day.
The staff are very nice and it's really close to Earl's Court station (between zones 1 and 2). Very easy to walk around and friendly neighbourhood.

“Basic but comfortable hotel in a good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

I stayed here for two nights and it was the perfect base for a weekend in London with friends. It is situated on a quiet square less than 5 minutes walk from Earl's Court tube station and about 2 minutes walk from a street with a huge selection of restaurants (and around 3 pubs).

The room itself was fine. Spacious, with a separate hallway and a good sized bathroom. The shower was powerful and always had hot water. There were tea/coffee facilities in the room and a tv. We found the room cold at times, and some of extra blankets seemed a bit worn and stained. Also, we were directly below the breakfast room and were woken up each morning at around 6am when people started walking above us.

The breakfast consisted of tea, coffee, toast, cornflakes, rice krispies, and orange juice, but this suited us perfectly. The breakfast room itself was a little cramped with long, shared tables (we got trapped in the corner one morning and had to make a whole line of people get up to let us out). I suppose the best way to describe the hotel is like a small, cosy hostel with private, basic hotel rooms, but this was exactly what we wanted and I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Triple room in basement was affected by noise from the breakfast room in the morning.

“Perfect location to attractions at a good price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

If you're reading this and are thinking.... great she has given it 4 stars, it must be brilliant....please do read on so that you can understand why I have given it that rating.
You must understand before you book a place like this that "YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"
If you're expecting a five star hotel then you won't be getting that.
We booked this hotel not expecting it to be as good as it was. It was a budget price and for what we paid over the new years eve period it was great.
We were delayed in getting to the hotel because of connecting flights and that was fine we just called and they were cool with that.
When we arrived which was about 9am we were directed to our room, which thankfully was on the ground floor and also told that breakfast was still being served so we were welcome to help ourselves.
We were meant to stay 5 nights but it ended up being 4 pretty good nights.

The location of the Garden View is great..... perfect for getting to all attractions as Earl's Court Station is on the picadilly and the district lines.
It is close to Earl's Court road which has a supermarket and quite a few restaurants.
Provides breakfast- toast (only white bread), cereal- 3 choices, tea/coffee and juice.
We stayed in room #1. It was good that it was on the ground floor. It was at the back of the building which meant you got some of the noise from the street behind but once you're asleep that's not a problem. The bathroom was compact but clean and functional. The bed was comfortable, though the mattress was a little soft and i felt every move my husband made throughout the night but it was a warm bed and a place to sleep when you've had a busy day exploring all there is to see in London. My one criticism was the blind on the window.... it wasn't wide enough for the window and it didn't close properly which meant you were on display a little to the neighbours behind the hotel. For us it wasn't too bad as our theory was we weren't staying in the Ritz.

Overall a great hotel in a great location at a great price for the time of year we stayed. We stayed in room #1

Room Tip: Remember you do get what you pay for and 'you are in London' which is known for being expens...

“Hotel - good location but not value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

My family (4 persons including 2 teenagers) stayed here for 2 nights in the early September 2011. I chose this hotel because it is easy to go from tube station and hotel has a lift. Although the hotel is situated at a quiet place, both nights I was waked up by some machine operation in the street at about 1:30 am and 4:30 am. The blanket provided seems not clean, so we didn't use it. Room price is not cheap at all but breakfast provided was poor. Just bread, cereal, milk and even no boiled egg. Our room is a quadroom but in fact it is very small. No space for putting our four lugguage without moving the beds. Next time I prefer to find another hotel in London.

Room Tip: Maybe rooms not face to the garden is better.

“1st time in London”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

This hotel was part of the vacation package that i purchased, being this the 1st time i was in London it was just right for the 2 days i was there. 1st the location of the hotel was very good, just 3 blocks from Earls Court station on the Underground and you find the hotel. The train ride from the airport is approximately 40 minutes. The room was clean but very small compared to what we have here in the states. One thing to be aware of is that the bathroom has a stand up shower and if you are 5'9 and up there is very little space to move around and take a nice shower. Staff were nice and friendly willing to help and answer any questions we had. Hotel has wifi and its free for guest something that in other hotels in europe you have to pay for so this was a plus. Breakfast was included in my package, and it was ok for the value of what we paid. If the breakfast is not up to your par then i suggest walking a couple of blocks and finding a nice cafe around the area and eat there; there are plenty around the area and accesible by foot. Overall not a bad spot approximately a 15 minute train ride to the center of London and all of its attractions if you are there as a tourist. Check in is at 2pm and check out at noon. If you arrive before 2, they allow you to leave your bags in the hotel and come back which is nice if you want to go grab a bite to eat or start your sightseeing.
