London is expensive no matter what you do. This hotel is clean, tidy and comfortable. not a beautiful location, but easy to get to on the tube. ( central line ), acton station is only 3 minutes away. Restrarant was good. I was working nearby ( 10 mins walk away ) so was very good location wise. Internet good.. I'd stay again. They gave us an early checkin and a late checkout.. Bed was ok, but not the best.

We opted to stay at the Ramada Encore in London West mainly due to pricing and availability. This hotel is much more reasonably priced than any of the ones closer to central London, and we were able to book a room for 3 with only a few weeks in advance. We arrived late in the evening due to a long flight and the hotel had mistakenly given our "family" room away. This meant that 3 of us were placed in a room with one bed. The hotel staff were very courteous, put us in another room for the night, and wheeled an extra cot up for us. They arranged to move us to a larger room the next morning and took care of moving our luggage for us while we were out for the day.

Overall, both of the rooms that we experienced were nice, clean, and of fairly good size. The hotel is a fair train trip from most of the London attractions, but the tube station is a short 5-10 minute walk away. There is a Tesco between the tube station and the hotel, which was convenient for grabbing snack food at the end of the day. The hotel also had a restaurant, cafe, and Starbucks coffee. There is really nothing else to see in this neighborhood, but if you just need a place to sleep at the end of a long day, then it should suit you just fine.

If you are looking for a cheap and cheerful then this is a good option! Rooms are of good size, clean with almost wet room showers! The bar is not too pricey and the food was surprisingly very good indeed! Staff also go out of their way to help you! Car park is available at a cost and the tube is 5 mins walk away. Takes about 25 mins to get to camden 20 to the centre! Nothing to do around the hotel really but there is a decent pub nearby!

OK, first of all the positives:

Location wise it's not picturesque but it's only a 5 minute walk from North Acton tube, has a small supermarket nearby and it's very easy to find. It's a clean hotel and the bed was very comfy. The price was reasonable and the staff were friendly, allowed us to check out an hour later without charging the £10 late check out fee (which is just as well, because that would've been far too much).

Now for the negatives:

It may be well located for the tube, but the area around the hotel is absolutely dead, just industrial warehouses, offices and some new build flats. Despite saying on the list of room facilities that there was free internet access, this wasn't the case. The only free internet was on a PC in the lobby, which is a shame because one of the main reasons I picked the hotel was that there would be free access in the room. Also mentioned bathrobes and toiletries, neither of which were there. The ventilation in the room is non existant, making the room dank and damp, especially after a shower. I'm not sure if it was designed this way or not-but the bathroom door would not stay open on its own. There was no fan in the bathroom, so to air it out we had to prop the door open with a chair. As mentioned, the staff were friendly but had to call room service twice to get some extra pillows as after 30 mins of waiting at 1:30am they still hadn't turned up.
