I had this property booked for October. When I read the previous review it made me think twice. It all started when contacted the owner to book, because she didn't answer my email request. She had the week available, and would need a $200 deposit. I sent it in a letter asking her to let me know that she received it, she didn't. I had to email her to ask. I would email to ask questions, ie: can we bring our luggage over when we arrive, I never found out this answer. She finally emailed me to call her, when I would call, she would not answer, even though the call was transferred to her cell! I did get her to answer once, she said was running out the door, and could not really talk, said we had lots of time before my arrival, and would talk later. I got an uneasy feeling that maybe I would arrive, and no one would be present, so I cancelled 30 days prior to our arrival. She didn't acknowledge my cancellation email. I had to get the President of the company she advertises under involved. She then denied getting my $200, even though I had the cancelled check!
After a few weeks of emails with the President, she then decided she did get my check, and I would have to come pick up the money from her, while on vacation in London. This was not going to happen. As of 45 days after our cancellation, I still have not received my deposit back. I am only writing to warn other travelers of my experience with this owner, but I have not actually stayed here.
