“Great service, great food, great stay”

Our stay was outstanding.

The staff were very polite and welcoming, with big smiles which always helps.

The executive room on 7th floor was clean and a reasonable size, the view is great.

As it was the coldest night ever(!!) we decided to eat in the hotel. The steaks we had were cooked to perfection and eaten very slowly to enjoy every mouthful. Food and drink prices were as expected for hotel/London!

A fantastic night away, would stay again.

“Good, couple of gripes though”

Overall room turned out to be good. Pleased we weren't paying (quasi-business trip) since was expensive for a weekday stay. Good value for weekends though.

Room was average but nice. Try to get a good room with a view of the Wharf. Don't settle for a room without a view and next to the DLR track if you can avoid it. Gym very average. Wasn't impressed safe broke so I had to wait for an hour whilst hotel staff had to drill it open!

Room Tip: When you checkin ask to be AWAY from the DLR track. This is most important. However if you can try t...

“Perfect location for O2 Arena”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Stayed for 2 nights from 22 Dec 2011 checking out Xmas eve. Purpose to see Rhianna at O2 on last night of tour.

The hotel easy to find, got northern line from kings cross and DLR stopped at Canary wharf and India Quay just 5 mins walk away. Everyone we met was welcoming and helpful, no trouble to give you directions. Purchased a day ticket for transport on any bus or tube as many times as you like, hop on/off for £6 per day p/person! WOW! so cheap.

You can see O2 from hotel but need to catch tube 1 stop away to get there. Taxi will cost you £16 one way from hotel.

Hotel nice, lovely glass fronted building, rooms only occupy lower floors with offices above. Taking lift to your room make sure you put electronic room card into slot by floor choice buttons, otherwise you won't go anywhere! Also, if going to floor 3 for ice, take room card for lift, my husband didn't and ended up only being able to go to ground floor feeling embarrassed holding his ice bucket! I had to come down in the lift whering robe, towel round my head and "one size fits all slippers" to rescue him. Much to the amusement of concierge!

Very pleasant stay, didn't have breakfast in hotel or any other meal as there is a wealth of eating places at Canary Wharf to sit and watch the business people in their lovely suits.

Canary Wharf was fab! Huge sky scrapers, underground shopping centres - fountains and gardens. Outdoor ice rink and all the trees were studded with twinkling cornflower blue lights. Beautiful!

Will return again when visiting London.

“Pleasent stay but lacking the 5* quality...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Me and my partner stayed here back in November 2011 for our anniversary. When booking the room online, I made them aware I am staying for my anniversary.

We arrived late and were checked in swiftly...
Room spacious and comfortable. I did ask for a room with a view... and what I got was the view of the West India Quay DLR station... very romantic indeed... saw a box of chocs near the tea area which said "Happy Birthday"...
i would of expected better service considering it was my 1st year anniversary... none the less the breakfast was pleasent with a wide range of food choices...

“Lovely stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Stayed here for one night on January 12 in an executive room facing the water. Although the room was not as big as I thought, it was a very good size for London. What I appreciated most was the quietness of the hotel, no banging doors to be heard, absolutely quiet at night, generally a very pleasant atmosphere. Could check in at noon, which is always a plus, all staff very nice, the restaurant and bar area looked inviting, but didn't have time to use it. The area around the hotel is very pleasant, there is an exit that leads to the pedestrian area on the quay, where you can take a footbridge to Canary Wharf station. The Jubilee Line takes you to Bond Street (Oxford street), where all the shops are.
I don't agree with a previous reviewer that the beds are hard. I always try to find a hotel that has great north american style beds and my bed was exactly like that. Not too hard and not too soft. It's true that the bathroom looks dated, no walk-inn shower, just a bathtub with plastic curtains, but everything very clean. The room furniture didn't seem dated to me, it's just the classic style, I prefer this to minimalistic which is like being in an office. I would stay again at this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water away from the DLR railway.
