Stayed here for one night on January 12 in an executive room facing the water. Although the room was not as big as I thought, it was a very good size for London. What I appreciated most was the quietness of the hotel, no banging doors to be heard, absolutely quiet at night, generally a very pleasant atmosphere. Could check in at noon, which is always a plus, all staff very nice, the restaurant and bar area looked inviting, but didn't have time to use it. The area around the hotel is very pleasant, there is an exit that leads to the pedestrian area on the quay, where you can take a footbridge to Canary Wharf station. The Jubilee Line takes you to Bond Street (Oxford street), where all the shops are.
I don't agree with a previous reviewer that the beds are hard. I always try to find a hotel that has great north american style beds and my bed was exactly like that. Not too hard and not too soft. It's true that the bathroom looks dated, no walk-inn shower, just a bathtub with plastic curtains, but everything very clean. The room furniture didn't seem dated to me, it's just the classic style, I prefer this to minimalistic which is like being in an office. I would stay again at this hotel.
Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water away from the DLR railway.
