We stayed here as we were going to an event at the O2 and wanted somewhere close by. As its only a couple of stops on the underground and DLR it was the perfect location. The room is basic but clean and warm with hairdryer/ tea and coffee making facilities and flatscreen tv. The bathroom was clean too. Even though its on a flight path we didn't hear any planes and in fact no noise so had a good nights sleep. Check in and out was smooth and the staff wewre friendly and polite. I'd certainly stay here again when going to something at the O2 or the Excel as it was excellent value for money.

I like this Ibis and stay here often when I work in London. Its near the DLR and is in a quiet area in Docklands by the Excel centre. The rooms are EXACTLY the same as any other Ibis nad sometimes the bathroom is a bit creeky as its all plastic. But the rooms are quiet.

Over-nighted here recently on a weekend, paid under £40 for the night and thought it was pretty excellent value. For that money you get a basic room, comfortable bed, aircon/heating, small tv (no freeview!), small but perfectly formed pre-fab bathroom with great water pressure.

Not so pleased with the very poor sound insulation between rooms, at one point in the early evening certainly sounded like one of my near neighbours was having very vigorous and angry personal interactions with the furniture in his room.

Ate in the restaurant for dinner - pretty authentic tasting curry and reasonable prices means it doesn't feel such a compromise, also London isn't exactly on your doorstep here.

Overall (apart from the mercifully short period of excessive noise from the neighbour) it was a pretty decent experience, made even better of course by the low low rate.

Good Basic Hotel, no luxury, but no complaints. Slightly noisy room (701) next to lift. Not a water view as we had hoped. These are small things however - the stay was pleasant and functional so no real complaints.
