The hotel is located a 5 minute walk from the DLR stop and good value for money . It was an ideal hotel for a concert we were attending at the 02 arena. However please check your travel arrangements prior to going (on a weekend) as on the Sunday the DLR was closed all day so we had to use replacements buses which was a bit of a hassle especially when you have no idea where the buses stop and where you have to go. The lady at reception however did inform us of how we should get to the 02 that evening so they were aware of the situation which was reassuring!
We had a room on the 3rd floor over looking the docks which was lovely, the hotel was quiet inside (best to request a room away from the elevators) however you can hear the planes quite clearly as the hotel is situated below its flight path. But by paying next to nothing for the room we weren't entirely bothered! You can also hear everything in the corridor and in the rooms next door - so good luck if you have noisy neighbours! The area itself was really really quiet though....
Rooms are standard - really comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities, Flat screen TV and a fantastic high pressure shower! Everything was clean and tidy and I couldn't fault it at all.
The staff were friendly enough and efficient however we only spoke to them during checking in and checking out - both occasions were speedy.
All in all good value for money, if needs be I would stay again (would double check travel arrangements prior to travelling!) however it ticks all the boxes and was a total bargain!
