“Clean, no too expensive, central but also small beds and noisy...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2011

The price for this hotel was very good for London standards and the room was clean with even a coffeemaker. The TV was very small, the bed was too unfortunately and we did not sleep well because of the bed and especially because of the noise of our neighbours. No they did not speak very loud, but when they walked within their room ,we heared the floor squeak in our room very loud. Breakfast was good and enough for the whole day. Hotel is situated near Kings Cross Station so you can reach all parts of London very fast by tube, bus or train. There's a great Chinese restaurant around the corner called Chop Chop where you can have a good meal for under 5 pound.

“Basic, but good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2011

I stayed here for 2 weeks. Beds are small but I had no problem sleeping. Never had any problems using the shower, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was very good. Only a short walk from King's Cross Station/ St. Pancras Station. Internet was spotty, but usually worked. Perfect if you are just looking for a place to sleep/ rest and plan to spend most of your time away from the hotel.

“Very good B&B, location and staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2010

Me and my friends stayed in this b&b for 3 night. We reserved a triple room en suit (bathroom in the room) but when we got there we received a family room :). The room was spacious, clean and full of light. The only problem in it was the floor which was a little bit squeaky. But since we didn't spend much time in the room it wasn't an issue.
Location is unbelievable convenient - 2 minutes walk to King Cross Tube Station and St.Pancras International Train Station. In B&B area there are nice pubs and restaurants. It's also near to Camden which full of interesting places to see.
The staff is very nice and very helpful. Any question that you have they trying to help you with it. You can leave your bags at B&B if you have spare time before a flight. An English breakfast tasty. Especially I liked mushrooms.
Next time I'll be visiting London I defiantly stay there and I'll recommend it to my friends.
But the most important thing is do not pay attention to negative reviews. The place is awesome! :D

“No frills, but decent value and good location.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2010

This truly was a no frills hotel, but it met my family's needs. I traveled with my wife and 2 sons, ages 1 and 3. We stayed in one of the family-sized rooms with beds for 3 and a crib (provided by the hotel for free). The mattresses were rather cheap and uncomfortable. The bedspread was old, worn, and looked dirty. The room was reasonably clean and it had its own sink. The free WiFi Internet and new HD TV were a nice touch. For an extra 15 pounds per night, we could have had a private bathroom, but we were on the cheap for this trip so we opted for the standard room and used the public bathrooms. The shower rooms were needing renovation and were not too clean. One of the shower rooms did not even have a shower curtain so the entire bathroom was soaked by the previous user. We were on the main level, and could hear the people above us every time they walked around. The floor boards were obviously flimsy and creaked anytime anyone moved. One of the hotel staff members told me that there were plans to replace the hotel floor boards in the near future, which would be a significant improvement.

What is best about this hotel is its location (walking distance from the King's Cross train and Underground stations) and its value. King's Cross Underground station is one of the few Tube stations in London zone 1 that is equipped with elevators/lifts, which was really handy as we had both kids in a double stroller during our visit. We booked only a few days in advance and were able to get a family room for 70 British pounds per night. The free full English breakfast was adequate, but nothing to be excited about.

“Very basic, clean, perfect location, affordable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2010

This hotel is for the no frills crowd, but if your expectations are realistic you will not be disappointed. We had a double with bathrooms down the hall. Though it was the height of tourism, we didn't have problems getting to shower, etc. Manager keeps the place clean. Rooms are very tiny though and the only downside, and it was somewhat substantial, is the double bed was not a regular size double bed-it's tiny! We did not find a bed this small throughout Europe and the rest were also doubles and were just fine. If you are at all overweight you will not be happy with this bed. I am average and hubby is American paunchy - and I was uncomfortable! Hotel staff were welcoming and helpful and friendly and the location a few minutes walk to the train station saved us time and bucks. Breakfast was full English-2 eggs, toast, those awful canned beans! and Englsih bacon or cereal. Filling but after 5 mornings of it, I was ready for a change. But it was well worth the modest rent.
