“Perfect Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

I've tried 12 to 14 hotels in the area around Paddington station. Hotel Omega is definitely the best I've stayed at. It was clean & neat. The staff were nice & friendly.
There were quilts instead of the envelope sheets I always fight with. The pillow could be seperated for those who do not use a double cushion.
Bathroom is small - that's what they are for hotels in the area & we got clean towels every day. & it was super clean - like the room.
The hotel has soundproof could only hear the other guests when they went out & out of their doors.
Breakfast was standard for the area - however, there were 6 different Flakes - muesli - etc you could just choose from even beyond the English Breakfast.
The location is perfect - bus & subway nearby. Oxford st is not too far away..
I would definitely choose this hotel next time I go to London.

“Great hotel on a budget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

Traveling solo on business, I was tired of paying exorbitant prices from the major chain hotels. I found this hotel on Trip Advisor and took a chance. A Marriott it is not, but the price/ value was fantastic! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are on a budget. The room was clean with en suite facilities. There was free hot cooked breakfast everyday (included in room prices) and the front reception is open 24 hours. I forgot to pack an electrical adapter, but the hotel offered one to lend. Now you must remember that the rooms are small and there is no lift. I was on the 4th floor, which was a bit of a climb, but good exercise. The bathroom was very small, but it is private. The plusses where its location, within a block or so of Paddington station, price, cleanliness, and in a quiet area that allows for a good night’s sleep.
For those that did not rate this hotel highly, it must be because their expectations were too high. To give a negative score because of the small room sizes is misleading, since that is what you are paying for. I had no problem with WIFI or the TV, (but had to figure out that you had to turn the power button on then select a channel number before it turned on) and there were plenty of channel selections. Overall a good experience.

Room Tip: If you can, get a lower floor room as there is no lift.

“Pretty good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

The location of the hotel is great. It is really close to Paddington station and overall the location is quite central -- you can walk to Hyde Park / Kensington Gardens (when the tube was very congested, we even walked back from Madame Tussauds). Also, there are convenience stores and restaurants (often fast-food) nearby. The room was clean and the free breakfast included toast, self-serve cereal, and English breakfast if you wanted it. Staff was helpful and nice. The room was kind of small though, and the bathroom is really small -- it had no bathtub and was only about an arm's length wide in one direction. Overall everything felt a little minimal, with a small TV and no shampoo provided, but everything worked fine and it was relatively less expensive than some of the other choices we were considering.

Room Tip: We had room 5, a triple room, which was nice and quiet since its window faced away from the large st...

“Great STAFF, HOTEL LOCATION, WE WILL BE BACK!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2011

We were booked at the Omega during our recent visit to London, It is walking distance from Paddington Station and great places to eat. This Hotel was very very clean and had everything we needed. They also provide a delightful English Breakfast. The Price was excellent and didnt break us so we could enjoy other sights. It was also walking distance to Kensington Park. We will definitely stay here on our return. Staff was very friendly and professional.

“Horrible Experience”

The evening receptionist was pleasant, but the promised wifi didn't work unless I sat on the stairs on a higher level. I couldn't make outgoing calls, the tv didn't work, the room is so small I couldn't even keep my luggage open on the floor. The bathroom is smaller than a closet. There are no fans or a/c. I know that hotels are expensive and rooms are small, but this was not acceptable. There are many other better choices.
