I booked thi hotel as it was near to where some friends were having a reception, I wish I hadn't. On arrival the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful and pretended not to understand what I was saying (I gave up). No help was offered with my bags and there is no lift. Upon opening the door to my room I was nearly knocked out by the heat of the room and the stench of smoke in the room (which was strange as I had asked for a non smoking room). I saw little point in complaining due to the staffs attitude when I arrived. So in cold weather I found myself having to open the window and leave it open. There was no shampoo or shower gel so I asked reception where tesco was and they grunted and said there was a co-op down the road.
In the morning a felt like a cup of tea unfortunately it was then that I noticed chewing gum stuck on top of the self. At this point I felt Physically sick and began to question the cleanliness of the room and left. As breakfast was included I thought there's no way they could go wrong with a piece of toast. Upon opening the door I was faced with a packed room full of long tables (bit like scout camp). The food looked foul and the staff couldn't be bothered to seat people. Needless to say I left with no food.
