I spent 2 nights in this very conveniently located hotel. The reception was very pleasant and after carrying the luggage to the 3rd floor I found myself in a relatively small but spotless and reasonably comfortable room. This was the first time that a supposedly 3-star hotel in an English city lived up to the expectation. The beds were comfortable, the heating worked well and the room was equipped with further ammenities, such as electric kettle, instant coffee and teabags, flatscreen TV and hairdryer. The bathroom was small but modern and very clean and left nothing to be desired.
In the mornings complimentary continental breakfast is served, offering a choice of breads and buns, coldcuts, cheese, cereals, cakes, jams, yoghurt and even Nutella.
Pimlico Underground is less than a 5-minute walk away and walking to Victoria Station takes about 10 minutes. Despite the central location in a beautiful residential area of London there is not too much noise from traffic or night owls. The hotel staff recommended several nearby restaurants and both restaurants I tried (thai and Italian) were fantastic and not expensive at all (mains around £ 7-10)
To sum it all up - I had a really pleasant stay, the best but by far not the most expensive I've ever had in London. I would definitely go there again!
