“Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

We booked 3 stays of 6,3 and one night in a one bedroom apartment. We were early, so we were allowed to stow our bags and go out for the day.The front desk people were very good and pleasant. They supplied tourist information and tips for the local area. When we returned, they carried our bags to the apartment, which is at basement level. The apartment was fantastic, one large bedroom , single bed in the huge Lounge room and a very good Galley style Kitchen. The bathroom was great, and the daily cleaning service was excellent. There were a few small problems with some appliances, but these were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The position of the Hotel is excellent,a short walk from Victoria Bus Station (Heathrow Express, Great and Cheap) For Australians going on Trafalgar tours, you can walk to the Trafalgar office or get the fantastic No 24 Bus from around the corner.

Room Tip: For couples or a Family of Three, would higly recommend the one bedroom apartment

“Very traditional hotel nestled in the heart of a warm area!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Stay here with my mother and father who came over from Dublin for the weekend, on arrivial they where given a free upgrade to one of there finest suite, and where told to celebrate there anniversity with a completmentry bottle of champagne, (being teetotal ofcourse they didnt drink it but admired the one to one service) they only stayed two nights, altought they didnt get a chance to check out the fitness facilites they enjoyed a fine breakfast and a romantic dinner in the hotel. They are currently making plans to visit london again this summer and they are strongly considering returning to this hotel.

“Theatre Trip”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

I booked this hotel for a theatre trip to London for my daughter's birthday. I was apprehensive about the booking for the annexe, but this turned out fine. Annexe appears to be undergoing refurbishment and our room was spacious and immaculate. The location of the hotel was superb for Apollo Victoria Theatre, we were able to walk there and back and feel safe. Very close to Victoria Station and we walked to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey,London Eye. We took Big Bus tours on Sat and Sun which we found good value. Kevin the guide was amazing. My only criticism of London in general would be that they could do with a few more human street guides to help tourists. We were in Oxford St on Saturday and we were not sure which direction to go to get a bus back to Victoria, but we sussed it out. Overall the trip was a resounding success.

Room Tip: Room 27 was just right. Rooms on higher floors of the annexe afford a lovely view, but they are a t...

“Really good stay!!”

We went with my parents in a triple rooms, the room was quite small but enough for sleeping as we were away all day long. Otherwise, the room was clean, but there were not too much duvet as it was a bit cold in the room during the night.
The staff was really nice and helpful, first night we arrived late and they wanted to order us some food.
The Breakfast was for all, continental and english (but without bacon not easy)!
For the location, it's only 10mins walking distance from London victoria station.
In general, it was a nice stay. I definitely recommend it

“Beware of the twin rooms”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

My daughter and I stayed here for 1 night in January as it is ideally situated within walking distance of the Victoria Palace theatre . We had stayed before in a family room in the annex building in Wilton Road which was fine . This time we booked a twin room ,big mistake !. Our room Number 14 was in a cul de sac oposite the main hotel and was acessed up a flight of very steep narrow stairs . The room was miniscule approx 7ft x 9ft . You couldn't swing a mouse never mind a cat . The twin beds were very uncomfortable and the wall mounted TV had only 4 analogue channels . There was a tiny window with a veiw of a brick wall which you could almost touch . The bath room was only suited to size zero people ,although the shower was a good size. There was a digital safe and tea making facilities .
We had the pre theatre dinner in About Thyme Bar and Bistro a short walk from the hotel , 2 courses for £18.50 and the food and the service were very good . We also had breakfast in Giraffe just around the corner from the hotel . They did an excellent breakfast special with a drink for £5 although we did have to ask for the special menu .

Room Tip: If our room was typical of their twin rooms I would book a family room
