Having seen a fair share of accomodation in London over the years I have to say that this place is a good value for London. It's fairly basic but clean and tidy. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast is nothing special but o.k. The hotel is situated in Ealing which is in the western part of London. Anyway, by tube you can easily get to the centre of London. For me it was a perfect location as it was easy to get to Reading for a day plus most of my time was spent in that area due to friends living around there.

The only downside for me personally was the heating but then again it would have been the same in other places as well. It is just the way people heat their houses in the UK. ;-)

Arrived at 10am from Heathrow, travelling on the tube only took 30 mins there and luckily my room was already available, so checked in straight away.

Small "family-run" type of hotel, nothing fancy, but you are made felt comfortable and welcome. Rooms again not posh, but clean, tidy and do the job. If you just look for a place where to stay the night, feel safe and prefer a quiet area, this is perfect. I stayed in a room where you shared the bathroom, which is on the common corridor and was clean and perfectly adequate.

10 mins walk from the Central and the Piccadilly Lines, which take you into Central London within 30mins.

All in all a very good experience, and I would come back.

I had a wonderful two nights at the Grange Lodge. I check-in a little early, but the staff was very nice and animated she told me to come back in a hour, my room should be ready by then and it was! There was a definitely that laundry mat smell (very welcoming by the way) and I rather is smell fresh and clean than stuffy and gross.
I had one of the rooms on the ground floor that is right next to the dining room. My room was average size, the bathroom is literally right outside. The breakfast selection was great. the staff was lively and helpful. Internet access was free and high speed.
The location of the place is pretty nice. The Ealing Broadway station is about 10mins walk. There are tons of places you can go grab some food. a little mall is around the way walking to the tube station. As a single women in their 20s, I felt very safe walking back from the station at night. I would definitely stay at the Grange Lodge again!

Booked Grange Lodge for a long weekend to take in some museums and a show, stayed for two nights. Our room was on the ground floor, right next to the dining room where breakfast was served. The receptionist who greeted us was very friendly and helpful and check in was a breeze. The room was clean, warm and airy with hot drinks making facilities and plenty of everything. Free wi-fi is provided with a good strong signal. TV provided was small, but a modern flatscreen with freeview (and HDMI great if you have a laptop with DVD!) Breakfast was adequate and plentiful, plenty of cereals, juice and coffee along with a full english breakfast which was well cooked and with eggs 4 different ways! Access to Ealing Broadway is a brisk 10 minute walk with plenty of bars, bistros and restaurants in Ealing town centre. City Centre about 25 mins by tube. One of the few guest houses I have found where you can park your car. Other guests were a bit noisy in the morning which was the only downside of having a room so close to the dining room, but this is only a small thing. Overall, Grange Lodge (although not a hotel) is great value for money and I would happily stay again.
