“Pool and gym should not be advertised”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Overall we had a very positive experience at this hotel. It's well kept, comfortable, staffed with friendly and helpful people and convenient for transport links to the city. The only down point is the fact that it is implied, intentionally or otherwise by advertising of the hotel, that it has leisure facilities. This is not the case and I would be reluctant to stay here again unless the marketing material is rectified. It is misleading and possibly deceptive to include photos of facilities which incur a substantial additional charge. In fact this GBP 50 charge for two people would have represented over half of our room rate per day. I understand that these leisure facilities are exclusive and command a premium membership fee but either advertise inclusive room rates or leave no room for ambiguity (i.e. remove the photos). I would otherwise have given this property a strong overall rating.

Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for your review. We do appreciate the time and thought taken in your observations. As you suggest, the Health Club offering is quite exceptional and far beyond that of a typical hotel health suite. Overall we are pleased to note that our guests who avail of the facility invariably appreciate the opportunity and value of the high end experience it provides. Like internet or car park, health club access is not necessarily inclusive in all rate terms at all hotels. We are therefore constantly mindful of other local hotels' facilities, marketing and charging practices when making our own pricing decisions and review accordingly. However we greatly regret any disappointment felt and thank you for feeling able to raise the matter.

“Standard hotel in a good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

This is by all aspects a standard, largish hotel. The staff were cheerful and helpful and the room was clean etc but there is nothing about this hotel that makes it stand out. The location is good and only a short walk to Fulham Broadway tube. My wife booked the hotel as she had a deal alert and we had a planned weekend in London to see a concert at the O2, geography not her strongest subject but it was a good deal, fortunately. Had I listened when she made the booking I would have objected solely on the grounds that we would be at a football club, horror of horrors as I am a dedicated rugby fan and find the "beautiful game" tiresome to say the least.Fortunately there was no home game on but the damage left by previous over oiled supporters have left its mark on some of the hotel. In fact as we made our way not our room a decorator was repairing a wall that had been dented by a not very happy supporter.
The room was functional, clean but not scrupulously, a good size and the bathroom was ok too except the shaver socket would not work. We stayed the one night but sleep was difficult as a neighbouring room was over noisy until the wee hours, discussing family business for all to hear in voices that easily carried through the walls.
On the plus side the breakfast buffet was pretty good and set us up for a long days walking of sights and shops.

“Very pleasant stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Booked a special deal for 1 night 's stay with breakfast after a trip to the the theatre for a matinee performance. I e-mailed in advance to see if we could book in early or leave our bags and hotel replied this would not be a problem. We arrived at the hotel at around midday and were immediately checked in. Receptionist was very friendly, helpful and polite. Room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and very attentive staff. Location of hotel was good with easy access into central London by bus or underground. All in all a very pleasant stay for a very good price and would definitely stay here again and recommend. Dined at Marco, one of the on-site restaurants, which was also excellent if a little expensive!

“Comfortable and quiet hotel in good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

This is a great hotel in a choice location, just a little distance away from the centre of the city but with very easy access. Ask for a refurbished room and you will have a very comfortable bed, great marble bathroom with lovely tub. The room was spotless and the provision of cookies with the tea and coffee was very welcome. It is easy to get to the centre of London by the tube which is a five minute walk away or even better, cross the street and take the #14 bus. It goes right by many of the hotspots, Victoria and Albert Museum, Harrods, Sloan St, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square and it makes for a great introduction to the city. The fitness centre is a ridiculous 25 pound surcharge but the 45 minute walk into town is free!

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room

“Good room, Poor bathroom.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We went stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago for our anniversary. The overall hotel is very good with clean and tidy reception and friendly staff. First impression was very good, expensive looking, quality hotel in a nice area.
Room was good, not brillant as the double bed was actually just two singles pushed together but was not bad. However the bathroom was very disapointing and did not match the quality of the hotel at all, the bath was too small and very average, something you would expect at a budget hotel.
Nightlife was good, nice restaurants and bars at Fulham Broadway.
Overall was an average hotel but a good night. Worth a visit if you go for one of the more expensive rooms.
