“Nice Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2011

This is a nice place, roomy, fairly comfortable and in a good location. Very close to Greenland Pier and the Thames Clipper ferries. A couple of decent pubs, a good Indian takeaway, and newsagent/grocery store in the immediate locality and if, like us, you arrange for a Tesco food delivery you are set up. We liked being so close to the centre of London and yet it was like being in a suburban town, so quiet and lovely to hear birds singing. The ladies in reception were very helpful but I did feel that I should not have had to go in to reception as often as I did ie how does the heating work (it was very cold at night), can we have extra pillows (at this level we expect two pillows each), dishwasher tablets please (I was told beforehand that all cleaning things were included, and had I known I had to ask for them I would have ordered some with my Tesco order - 2 tablets is now enough for a week). Sometimes we went out before they started work and came back after they had finished for the day. Also I think clearer info should have been given on how to get to the apartments. We travelled to Canada Water by underground from Heathrow and planned to hail a taxi, but none were around. So we took a bus (number 381 or C10) to Lady Dock Path. For those wanting info on how to get to Odessa Wharf from the bus stop - cross over road and go past the front of the Ship York pub, then turn right, walk past the Chinese and Indian takeaways, and the shop/newsagent. Turn left and you will see the Ship & Whale pub in front of you. Pass either side of this pub and Odessa Wharf is behind it. Buy a Transport for London Oyster Card because it will save you loads on buses and underground, and a small discount on the Thames Clippers. ie £2.70 from Heathrow to Canada Water on underground instead of £5. £1.30 on bus from Canada Water to Lady Dock Path instead of £2.20. We spent over £50 each during the week on the Oyster Card but this would have been nearer £100 each without it. Overall a good week at Odessa Wharf and I would recommend it.

“Fantastic views of the Thames and Canary Wharf”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 March 2011

Stayed for 7 nights when we were unexpectedly turfed out of the our house by a fire. Delores and Mia were extremely helpful in arranging access at short notice.

We were offered apartment 13 on the 1st floor at £120 per night which was very nice and spacious with an amazing view of the Thames and Canary Wharf from the balcony. Well equipped also although a washing machine would have made life easier (Delores was kind enough to do some washing for us). We put the baby in the bedroom and used the pulldown bed in the living room, which was confortable enough albeit a bit small.

The "Pavillion" on the top floor is a really selling point - a huge room with sofas, kitchenette and a very large TV. Free wifi access also.

Ideal if you have friends in the area or if you're travelling on business to Canary Wharf - only 4 minutes from Greenland Dock ferry stop.

“We were disappointed and upset with Odessa Wharf.”

We had confirmation of a room in January, Upon contacting Odessa in July they said they had no reservation for us. We sent them our confirmation. They said there had been a computer problem and they were trying to get us a room. We were leaving for London in 8 days. For 4 days we waited for a response . The staff would email us and say they were working on it. My husband called several times and they kept saying they were trying to resolve the problem.. Finally we emailed them and stated we had to know right away what was going on because we were getting very upset , stressed and disappointed not knowing what was going on. Within muinutes after that email we received an email stating they were sorry but they did not have a room for us. We had to spend several hours rechecking hotels on Trip Advisor hoping to find a hotel with available rooms for an arrival 5 days away. We were so DISAPPOINTED with the lack of help we received from Odessa Wharf with a problem they caused not us. So BEWARE when you book with them!

“More than a confortable apart hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2010

My wife, our two daughters (22 and 19) and I stayed one week at Odessa Wharf in May-2010.

If you are looking for a classic hotel facility, this could not be the best option for you. No housekeeping till check-out, towel changing every 3 days, staff available just weekdays from 9 to 16...no restaurant, no bar, no business center, no swimming pool.
On the other hand you will discover a lovely area, quiet and safe, with a very efficient public transportation system toward Central London, very nice and friendly staff, comfortable and modern 100 m2 apartments and an amazing view of the Thames and the financial District from the main balcony. In fact you are renting and apartment more than a hotel room.

The Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, including a Tesco open 24-7 is only 5 min by bus or 15 min walking from the hotel: try walking at least once through the Greenland Docks; you will really enjoy the landscape.
A couple of authentic English pubs will be useful when you return to the Resort from Central London. You will spend less than 30 minutes to Westminster combining bus + tube or using the Thames Clipper service and Greenwich is located at 10 minute distance from the resort taking the Thames Clipper.

Wi-fi free access is available in each apartment.
There is a washing and drying machine available for only 5 pound each load.

Check-in and check-out have been very simple and you won’t spend very much time. We had to leave the apartment at 4 am and I only dropped the keys inside.

Dolores and Maja, the Odessa Wharf staff, have been very kind, friendly and efficient.

My family and I definitely agreed to come back to Odessa Wharf and London, of course, as soon as possible.

“Odessa Wharf made our trip”

Really nothing to add to all the other positive reviews here. Nicely appointed spacious one bed apt. Double 'murphy' bed that folds back into the wall in the living room. Right on the Thames, balcony over the water. Fully equipped kitchen. 15 mins walk to supermarket. 5 mins to bus stop to tube station then 20mins to downtown. All worth it for the quiet residential feel of the neighbourhood.
In short as the Brits say:- "Brilliant"
