“Great Location, Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

It's difficult to find a reasonably-priced hotel in London, and harder still to find one that doesn't require a serious commute to see anything. This one has it all--good spot, great view, attentive service and as my husband put it, "the most comfortable bed we've found yet in Europe."

t's a 10-minute walk to the Pimlico tube stop, on the southern end of the Victoria line. When the buses are running properly you can catch the 87, which is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, and takes you directly to Trafalgar Square in under 5 minutes. Easier still is a 10-pound cab ride to the heart of Picadilly Circus.

I think we may have found our answer to the London hotel question! Oh yeah, and the rooms are stocked with iMacs you can use for free wifi, or to watch tv from. Pretty cool.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of Parliament, higher rooms have a better view.

“Great location, food, and service”

I stayed here for one night on business. The hotel is in a great location, near to the heart of Westminster and close to the river. I had a double room overlooking the street but there were no problems with street noise etc. Rooms are modern and pretty spacious, with complementary access to an iMac through which you can watch TV, plug in your own media etc. handily for business travellers, each room has an iron and ironing board.

I had dinner and breakfast in the hotel, both of these were excellent. There's a wide choice of different food types and the staff are very attentive.

All in all I'd have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a break in London or for a business trip

“Very Nice Modern Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Nice centrally located modern hotel with large rooms (at least by London standards) and a high level of service. Review based on a one night stay in February (background of spending 80+ nights per year in different hotels around the globe).

Location:
Location is central, in a quiet street consisting mostly of offices. No tube stations in the immediate neighborhood, roughly 10min walk to Pimlico, St. James’s Park or Westminister stations. A number of bus lines go nearby though. Tate Gallery almost next door, short walk to Westminister Abbey & Houses of Parliament as to number of other sightseeing locations. A bunch of pubs a short distance away, especially around the corner of Horseferry Rd and Regency St.

Room:
As Hilton Honors Diamond member I was upgraded to a nice large suite in 12th floor with sweeping views across London, including Thames. Décor was modern without being too modern, very airy with a lot of light wood and white walls. Room was very quiet, no noise whatsoever either outdoor or from the other rooms. Very clean, no signs of usage, stains or anything like that anywhere. Decent sized bathroom with separate bath & shower. Two bottles of water and a fruit plate provided as complimentary. There were two iMacs in the room which functioned as TV, too.

Etc:
Pretty nice continental breakfast with decent selection, quite a lot of noise though due to relatively small room full of people.

Check in was very efficient and friendly, receptionist felt like she genuinely tried to make sure my stay would be as good as possible instead of just handing over the key. Almost felt like being served in some Asian five star super luxury hotel! And of course the signature warm cookie was offered :-)

Would I return there?
Yes absolutely, value for money was very good

“Location, location, location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We stayed here in fall 2011, for a week, and we can't recommend it enough. It's well-located, a short, pleasant, walk from a tube station. Although you can walk, easily, to most central locations. Also, it's on a relatively quiet street, almost quaint.
Rooms were clean, very modern, approaching luxurious, and also, nicely, had computers in each room.
Concierge was helpful, as was staff in general.
We only ate breakfast at the hotel: the buffet was first-rate.
When we visit London again, we will certainly put this hotel on the top of our places to stay. By the way, it isn't too pricey.

“Excellent, couldn't recommend more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

I found this hotel on a theatre break deal and although I had read reviews before booking I was still unsure of what to expect as a visit to a london hotel years ago had not been a great success.
The hotel is advertised as a 5 minute walk from pimlico tube but I'd say unless you are a quick walker it's more like ten, a pleasant enough walk though and once we got our bearings easy enough to find, if in doubt head for the Tate modern, it's just down from that.
The reception was large, stylish, modern & clean, the receptionist was very nice and made us feel welcome, he gave us a huge warm homemade cookie to take to the room and it was yummy.
The room itself was lovely, as others have said abir like upmarket ikea furnishings, it was larger than I had expected and my daughter was thrilled that it had a mac computer come tv. I did have to search for the kettle and hair dryer but they were there, just neatly stored out of sight.
The hotel was ideal for the theatre, the adventurous could walk but as we were 2 women in the dark we opted for a taxi and it only cost £7.60 which I thought reasonable...and the taxis are lined up outside the hotel so easy to get.
We had a continental breakfast included in the cost of our package which was nice and the staff attentive but to be honest it's charged at £16.50 or £21.50 for a full english which is excessive even for London.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay there again when visiting London again....here's a tip though, this hotel is way over £100 a night each but going through theatre break I got tickets to a show and the hotel for just over £200 for the two of us so worth checking out what works out cheaper.
