This hotel was abysmal...smelly and unclean rooms, bed sheets unclean and when asked to be changed they pretended they'd changed them! Sticky furniture and carpets...no springback fire doors on upper rooms! Traffic noise most of the night in rooms at the front of the building...I could go on and on.
It was cheap but had unacceptable levels of hygiene and noise so sleep was very difficult!!

Room was just bigger than a broom cupboard. Bathroom was absolutely filthy and did not even dare have a shower at the hotel. Complimentary stripe of snot down bathroom door. Sheets appeared clean but the bed and pillows were hard. Very hot and noisy at night. Would have cancelled when we arrived but we couldn't afford to lose the money (that had been taken two days before we arrived!!!!!) and pay for another hotel. Would only recommend this hotel to someone I really disliked.

carpets in corridor looked like they something from a bad care home. Floor had no carpet, just nasty wooden flooring that was all scrapped. cheap old portable telly like summat from the second hand shop. beds, well one was nearly on the floor it was that low and the other was high up. The shelf type thing between the beds that the phone was on was full of fag burns, and the room did have a stale odour of someone having smoked in there. Breakfast was crap so skipped on the rest of stay.This should not have a name of HOTEL, as B&B's have higher standards. Also did not like idea of having to leave the key if you went out, so would not advise leaving anything of value as it wouldnt be safe. Spent only sleeping time in there stayed out as late as possible in order to spend least time possible in the room. If a hotel is nice you dont mind going in it a bit more. On first getting there the impression I got of the room, made me even fear whether there was a possibility of it having bed bugs, but luckily not, so that was a blessing.

We chose this hotel because it is relatively close to the Brixton academy (30 minute walk). It's on a VERY noisy street. The room was tiny, smelled of paint, and was just ancient and cheap. It was £60 a night which is probably as cheap as you can get for a London hotel room. The breakfast was just toast or cereal. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean though.
Wouldn't recommend except as last resort.
