My boyfriend had booked a 2 night stay as part of a Valentine's present. When we arrived there was some building work taking place at the front of the hotel but the Receptionist soon apologised for any noise that may occur during our stay.
The staff were very polite and offered to take our bags to our room. Once we got to the room we were pleasantly surprised about the good size and excellent shower, dressing gowns very fluffy too!!
Every time we left the hotel all staff spoke to us, very polite and helpful. Refreshments and toiletries were re-stocked daily and the communal areas were always clean.
We didnt use any of the facilities as no time but I'm sure of the standard of the rest of the hotel is anything to go by it would have been brilliant.
Would definitely stay again, really impressed.

The exterior of this hotel is beautiful, and the location is right in the heart of some of London's major sights.
The place was undergoing some refurbishments when we stayed (January 2012), so reception was a bit of a jumble and there is quite a lot of noise during the day. Additionally, a large development is being built across the road, so that caused further noise and disruption.
I was travelling with another couple, so I saw two different rooms. Our friends' room had been repainted and still smelt very strongly of paint, which was quite an issue. Our room was a good size and had all the facilities you would expect... comfortable bed, large TV, nice wide bath, etc.
The staff were fantastic - wonderfully friendly and very helpful from the minute we arrived.
But I just felt an overall sense of disappointment. It was nothing I could put my finger on, I just didn't feel like it was anything 'special'. I've stayed in much cheaper hotels where I felt I was getting an equal or better experience.
But, if you want to be in the thick of things, with lots of pubs close by, and a number of tube options, this is the place for you.

The staff is outstanding with great attention to customer needs and requests, from restaurant to doorman to concierge to housekeeping. But, the front desk staff stands out, it seems that they just can not do enough for you to make sure that your stay is most pleasant.
I stayed in one of the renovated rooms which was beautiful and I can't wait for the rest and lobby to be finished. My thanks to management who takes pride in their staff training and customer care. It shows.

Although this hotel is only a stone's throw from my of office, the deal we got on the room made it a worthwhile base for my wife and I whilst in London celebrating my birthday.
There is major renovation work going on, which we were warned about, but our room, on the 3rd floor had already been refurbished.
We didn't eat there, as the restaurant looked a bit too pricey, but the accommodation was comfortable and the staff courteous, so good value.
